A Few Questions To Ask After Returning

    1. How much are 40/40 now?
    2. Any changes of the spells?
    3. Are Spell combo assassins still weak af?
    4. Can you name me an assassin build that can handle all PvE?

    1) I'm not experienced in the trade market.
    2) No changes thusfar. Arrow Shield still needs a nerf.
    3) 900 raw spell damage Multihits says hi and bye.
    4) Essentially any with competent stats/players behind them.

    ahh those great time arguing with selvut abt how assassin in wynncraft doesn't make sense
    all those memory
    lets try arguing again! :D

    1. why should spin attack absord the slowness effect of others... doesnt make sense
    2. does vanish still drains your mana? well if it does, then...how are you supposed to use spells after unvanish?
    3. multihit damage is so bad .-. it is just a tiny little more than my spin attack while spin attack takes less than half a second to finish and it takes about/more than a second for multihit. + multihit takes more mana
    4. The strangest part. smoke bomb. it is fine...but..
    -why is it the highest dmg spell of an ASSASSIN who is meant to do burst
    -why is the highest dmg spell of an ASSASSIN a ranged-attack
    -all the 4th spells for the other classes are like a utility spell...not damage (arrow shield is meant to protect the player)

    yea assassins dont make sense.. even now. and spells assassins are such a great idea, but the dev just ruined it *sigh*
    (in which i meant spells, i didnt mean spell dmg, i mean high int+mana regen. that way you can do spell combo chain non stop. Which is really good as an assassin as all of his skills are kinda controly~ e.g. spin can freeze, multihit can move, smoke can slow. if you use these spells to do a non-stop combo, it will be really fun and effective.)
    (in which i mean effective, i mean when wynn make that classes cant use second spell when freezed by spin+the dmg of this build increase)

    1) It doesn't. It steals positive effects from anything you hit, and automatically clears your negative ones when used(even if you don't hit someone). The issue is that, to force players to become immobile via spells like Spin Attack, they're given Speed -255 or something, which causes you to freeze unless you have upwards of 5100% walk speed...but Speed is a positive effect by the definitions of the spell. It's a quirk, and not one that's a huge deal, honestly. I've never run into danger from it, ever.

    2) Yes, because if it didn't then you could just remain vanished indefinitely. Hint: MOVE.

    3) Nope. Especially once you get Force, Multihits is a definitive superior option. However, it's a bit dependent on your build. If you're running no spell effects, Multihits is -worth- for the cost and useful as utility. If you're running spell downs, it's best as strict utility. If you're running spell ups, it slays. My assassin has 8 mana regen and high intel. It's based around spell comboing with ~77% spell damage and ~930 spell damage stats on it, and it utterly THRASHES. It's not quite on the level of the Cataclysm spin attacks, but I can actually take a good few hits unlike them, and I've still got fairly good power. I've actually killed a couple of rainbow tanks in duels with this build...and I've still got a small power boost coming, since I'm still missing a small piece of it. My multihits currently deals something like 260 water/thunder damage per hit and then something like 1000 neutral, but I've never seen the power of the last hit. That means I'm dealing over 10000+ damage Multihits to enemies with no element resistance against me.

    4) Because it deals its damage over a significant amount of -time- instead of all at once like you've always seemed to refer to it like. First off, it gets less effective over range, cause the longer the smoke bomb exists in the air, the less time the smoke sticks around for, meaning it's still most effective at close-range than long-range, especially given the finicky range of the projectile. Second off, the full damage has to be dealt over the course of ~5 seconds(it's 4.5 but close enough). The only other spell that takes even close to as long as that to inflict its damage is Lv 3 Uppercut(approximately 2-2.5 seconds, but you can severely shorten that by smacking them again) or pre-Mesosphere Fall Meteor(approximately 3 seconds, which gets halved post-Mesosphere Fall). In response to "The 4th spell is meant for utility!" The assassin mixes things up, intentionally. It has a skill curve to learning it. Just like Vanish isn't meant to be a travel spell, Smoke Bomb doesn't fit the defensive utility as squarely as the other classes' spells. It can still fit to some degree, picking off and slowing an enemy's approach from other angles while you focus on a more singular target, but it's best utilized offensively. And, hm, isn't the Assassin the most offensively-bent class in the game, now?

    well will it be able for the dev team to fix the -255 problem? (cuz it is a bug?)

    also, does raw spell applies on EACH HIT of multihit? if not, then i cant find a reason to use multihit except as a utility (force. and i would definitely prefer spin. my multihit is just deals 37% dmg than my spin but 100% more mana of spin as well as 100% more time to finish the spell. why not just use 2 spins in this case then ._. (If you want to use multihit solely as an utility, why not replace multuhit to be the 4th spell and add a new 3rd one ._.)

    Why not use all offensive assassin skills at once? Multi hit them in a smoke bomb while spinning?

    the problem is
    the time cost by doing multihitis the same as doing 2 spin
    the mana cost by doing multihit is the same as doing 2 spin
    the damage of 2 spin is way more than a multihit

    Go get some raw spell damage in your life
    With Selv's build spins probably do 4k each, and if he's smart about how he uses force, he can hit an enemy with 1 or 2 spins while they're being controlled by Multihit, so around 18k damage, probably more, in a few seconds. As most of that is going to be neutral damage, few builds, outside of some heavy agi builds with some luck, or really heavy defense and hp builds, will be able to survive

    I think the negative walk speed is supposed to be a penalty for spamming spin attack, and not a bug.

    It's a quirk with the system. To ensure an enemy is frozen, they're given NEGATIVE SPEED, not Slowness. And since Spin thinks that Speed is a positive effect to steal...
