"Chaos, and a godslayer?"

 

Eve manages to keep herself on the brink of breaking, despitre feeling like a shaken bottle of champagne.

 

"Sure, that'll work for now." She sighs.

Ruby ignores her, still working...
"Kitty, go busy yourself elsewhere."

 

Eve stays, defiant.

 

Cecil doesn't say anything while traveling with her.

 

Ruby sighs, still working.
"Kitty, do you know what I do?"

Once you reach the coast, she keeps walking, the water freezing below her feet.

 

"My name is Eve." Eve says through grit teeth.

 

"Neat." She continue walking.

 

"I know what it is, kitty, but we all make choices. I choose to reciprocate the lack of respect you have towards me." Ruby replies, tone unchanged.

"Don't slip." Xephyr says, continuing her trek.

 

"Where are we heading exactly?" Cecil asked while trying not to fall.

 

Eve snaps.

It doesn't look like she even moves much, but within barely a quarter second, Ruby feels a massive kick to the head with so much force it could break her skull.

 

"Another area near Brisingr. When you see the huge black tail, we're close."

 

"O.......k....."

 

Ruby blocks it telekinetically.
"This is why I call you kitty. If I wanted to, you'd be dead."

"Don't think about it too hard."

 

"Is this normal for you?"

 

There's already a kick to the spine, and a clock to the face, before Eve uses a massive, yet harmless, power blast to send Ruby flying.

 

"Yes, very much so." Xephyr says, the water splashing to make you a handrail.

Everything blocked, but Eve gets a glimpse of a mechanical chip of sorts.
"Kitty, don't defy your creator. He who gives can take."

 

She continue walking.

 

Eve uses most of her energy to set a recall period at her current period in time, to enjoy herself, before firing a point-blank sniper blast right into Ruby's head. The bullet seems to have strange properties, able to defy Ruby's telekenesis and pierce her scales and skull easily.

 

Eventually, just as Xephyr suggested, a massive black tail bobs about in the water off in the distance. It's attached to a giant black lump.
"He's our destination. Don't even dream of summoning him."

This causes her cannon arm to rupture, and (probably) melt off as Ruby blinks away again.

Ruby links with you.
"Were you lying about not having Eve kill me?"
