Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ihra's close to follow, having already laid down.

Hours later, Eve starts to stir. Ihra's still asleep, and judging by what Eve sees between his teeth, they're back on the shoreline.

 

Once Eve surveys where she is, her trigger reactions kick in and she changes her hand to a small energy cannon, before heading to Rineth's throat. Eve snaps out of it as she jumps down, suddenly screaming and grabbing the sides.

"IHRA HELP!" Eve screams, terrified.

 

Rineth coughs, ejecting Eve.
"Hey, I said not to go there. Check my teeth before you go to gut me." He whispers. "She's still asleep."

 

Eve stays where she lands, traumatised and shaking.

 

Rineth drops Ihra gently in front of the ground.
"Now, don't doubt us, please." Rineth says, breathing the sleeping gas over Ihra as she stirs.

 

There's a slight distortion around Eve, just outlining a shield.

 

"Why don't you trust me? Did Aj not give you the memo that I'm Ihra's caretaker?"

 

"I-I-It's j-just...s-scary..." Eve says, shaking.

 

"I'm not going to kill you, or hurt you. You need to accept that." Rineth sighs.

 

Eve just lays there, shaking.

 

"I suppose I can't be the one to change you. Have Aj help you stop being scared of me if you'd like."

 

"Y-Y-You can't j-just autom-matically remove the f-fear of something. I d-don't want to have t-to be eaten again..." Eve says, still shaking, a few tears running down her face.

 

"I never ate you." Rineth sighs.

 

"T-Trigger react-tions..." Eve says.

 

"Are you saying that I should not trust you?"

 

"N-No, it's j-just I automatically r-react in certain s-situations for m-my or others s-safety." Eve says, shaking.

 

"So... you'll still have to learn to counter it.

 

"Y-Yeah...b-but...it's s-still scary...t-the concept of b-being eaten al-live..." Eve says, more tears running down her face.

 

"I told you, I'm not going to eat you. I don't eat like this."

 

"A-A-Alright..." Eve says a little more trustingly, but staying where she is.
