About The Rules...

So I posted an inappropriate joke on yunos profile page, but it was a joke that only people higher than 13 will get, like, it's either you get it or don't, and if you don't get it its odd and you'll just pass by it.

Then a moderator gave me a warning because of my post, I am not saying this was injust, as I respect the opinion, but heres a point Im about to make.

It says "Keep it PG 13" in the rules. This confuses me, because the only othe place I hear PG is in movies, where if there is swearing its automatically PG13 and not recommended for 10 year olds.

Also, I found jokes that are immature in PG 13 movies, which is where I dont get how it works.

So if swearing and immature jokes like mine are PG13 why are people allowed to say "shit" and not make immature jokes that are extremely vague?

Now here's my point: The rule "No Innapropiate Posts" is vague and very general, at the point where you would follow it on your biased opinion, unlike other rules. So....
TL:DR Make this rule less general, maybe like "No sexual / adult jokes" would fit innappropiate more, or atleast explain what you guys mean by "PG 13"

PG is fine. Not everything is for every age.

 

I will admit that the rule of "keep it PG-13" is a bit vague. As a mature person, I see and understand the "rated R" level jokes, but I don't say them myself because I'm not that kind of person. I will say, however, that there are a lot of things that go beyond PG-13 on here, including heavy swearing, crude memes, and even "sexual" kinds of content that I won't go further into.

Considering you were seen by a mod and were limited, I would try to be more careful and avoid saying things that would be considered a "rated R" joke. Chances are, if you do this you will regain access to what you are currently blocked from (I have no idea how limiting works). This may be hard for you, but the mod probably did that to try and "nullify" your inappropriate behavior.

Still though, if the rules want to be enforced, providing examples of inappropriate content would be ideal. That way, people know what is bad and what is fine to post.

 

Ive never seen a PG movie with swearing, all movies ive seen with swearing were pg13+

 

Honestly, there are so many things that violate this rule, and I don't think it's exclusive to the forums. It's kinda like youtubes no swearing rule now. I've seen staff make sex jokes in game, so I don't get this rule myself.

 

Did you watch Sausage Party ? Its completely PG 13.

To be perfectly honest... I really don't find any issues with the rule... it just kinda comes as common sense to me...

If you are saying something I just feel like you should think about what your posting, then once you think about it, then maybe you can see "yea, this might not be the best thing to be posting..." or things along those lines.

My philosophy with this rule is, don't post:

Things pertaining to 18+ subjects
Things pertaining that your parents would want you hearin under the age of 13.
Etc.

And along with that, each moderator is different, so they might take the rule in a different way...

My advice would be to maybe talk to the moderator why they think what you said broke this rule... they could probably help you out with this issue.

 

Just don't be a dick, thats really it.

 

Because that movie is not for children under 17 , and contains some adult material and as I have watched it , it has sexuel content in almost every 15 min ;-;

I'll admit the PG13 rule is kinda vague, it's mostly about common sense. Basically, ask yourself if what you're about to post is something you would say to your boss or teacher in public. If not, you probably shouldn't post it here.

I was unfortunately forced to watch Twilight: Breaking Dawn part 1
That was rated at PG13.
And uhh, Bella... *cough* gets pregnant, if ya know what I mean.
They didn't show anything but the scenes were very much there.
Lower it to PG.
