Is hero worth it?

If you're an Air warrior, then it's obvious to say, yeah.

 

It really depends, HERO is meant to be the end all rank for people that are willing to really help the server out.
If you are mainly about the perks get VIP+ but if you want to help keep the server alive and aren't too worried about the costs and perks then HERO is what you want.

 

I wouldn't get it, even though I don't have hero. On paper it just doesn't look like it's worth it.

 

I'd get Hero because of beta access and that you get monthly totems

n the basic sense, HERO is definately not worth it. It doesn't give you any in-game content, and even if it did it is 100$ on a minecraft server, that is not worth it ever.
On the other hand, HERO is the ultimate act of support for the server. If you really want to keep the server up and you feel like the server deserves it (and it does), you should definately do it.
For the perks, get VIP+ or just VIP. Spending 100$ for cosmetics on a minecraft server is not cool. As an act of support, it is very cool indeed.
