Will Defense Get Changed?

Will the way defense works get changed? At the moment defense is pretty useless in endgame because it only reduces neutral damage (I think), and there are barely any high level mobs that deal neutral damage. Of course you're supposed to use elemental defenses, but it's hard to get only positive elemental defenses without a rainbow build, and rainbow builds are pretty broken because you take next to no elemental damage if you use Gravity and Gemini and stuff. So does anyone know if defense will get changed to affect elemental damages later?

 

I seriously hope so. Only time will tell :I

 

Def is also useless in PvP, as 99% of people use an elemental weapon (neutral in rare cases), or poison/cactus.
The funniest thing in all of that, is how every stat but the actual "tanking" one, can turn you into a tank :^)

 

I belive it has been confirmed that it's intended to be like this.

 

Very few mobs deal exclusively elemental damage. As a rule of thumb, most mobs don't deal more than 50% of their damage in elements.

 

And then there is wybel

 

Ah so defense is not as useless as I thought in PvE :D
On average agility is still better tho, but defense will stay as it is right now?
