The spelling mistake is on purpose to what degree though? Grian said Morgor, when attempting Mordor. We know it's not meant to be Mordor, was making it Mogdor intentional as well?

 

You actually have a point. It's for lols because some other people where spelling it wrong. Plus in my opinion it's more catchy.
