Demon cave is a well known grinding spot recommended from levels 90-101 (maybe lower if you're willing to). With dxp, mob totems, xp gear and a party, it has become a really op spot giving +8k xp during xp +10k if you have a good xp set.

To get to this spot you must exit Rodoroc, and follow the path then you turn right and you should see a medium sized door. Oon the left of the door there should be a little cave opening and thats where the demon cave is

You go straight one way, thats either the X or Z coordinate.

For example, if you walk straight, you are increasing one coordinate. if you are at X: 50, and walk 10 blocks (straight) in a specific direction, you are at X: 60.
However you can also walk the opposite way and decrease the X coordinate or even get into the negatives.

This is the same for Z, but say X: is this direction. ^ and negative X: would be v
    Z would be < and >

And Y: is just your elevation.

since when is anyone capable of tracking anything through the canyon of the lost without an extensive map of the area?

and for once, the official wynncraft map doesn't count: it is just shy of useless when traversing the canyon.
