Unable To Use Chat

While on the Green Skinned Trouble quest...after I defeated the boss in the cave, I was supposed to get teleported to the surface. But instead got teleported to either a wall or somewhere dark... I'm unable to walk or even use chat. And no matter how many times I restart my game. I can't use chat anywhere on the server, not even lobby. When I join into a server, I'm stuck in that exact spot. Pls help. Thank you

Well that's certainly interesting. I'd say keep trying to restart and such, and if you get frustrated, I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft (Be sure to back up the stuff you want to keep tho!)

I'm very grateful to the ones that have replied to my post. I didn't know we had the /kill command option. It worked. :D I'm no longer stuck but still have the issue of not being able to use chat. After I type something, it says in chat: Cannot send chat message (in red text) Thank you again..

 

Hm... there's a setting in the menu that reads: Chat options (multiplayer only)
or something like that
Toggle it so you can type in chat (aka "Chat: On"). If it's already on.. *shrugs*

 

@XCrafty_FrankieX: This is a bit far off, but maybe you were muted somehow? I'm not sure if mods can mute players, or what message appears if they can, but considering you can't talk anywhere on the server leads me to that suspicion.

Did you happen to say anything that might have gotten you muted? Also, did you ever receive any sort of notification regarding a mute? If not, you could have still been accidentally muted instead of another person, and they disregarded you because you were not the "issue" at the time.

I'm just guessing about how mutes work. It just seems odd that your messages aren't going through.

 

Check your multiplayer settings and make sure under chat type it says "all" or something similar. You may have accidentally set it to commands only. Not near a computer right now so I can't show you what I mean.

Since I think you were teleported to the class room, maybe it thinks you are still there?

 

Glad you figured it out, I wanted to clear up that what you had was not what a mute looks like for any future reference.
We do not mute people without warn, and it will say "you've been muted for "
