Media Wynn News S3 #3 ( Probably The Last One) Wynncraft Election: Yuno Or Snerp?

So a player by the name of @eeveelution made a very unique event recently showcasing a "Wynncraft Election", and what good news service doesn't mooch of the popularity of the elections? For the sake of fairness, I'm excluding staff candidates because I'm a biased liberal conservative trashy news creator. This leaves the two closest candidates, @Yuno F Gasai and @Snerp, Yuno ahead by 4 votes. We're gonna cover each candidate separately, then the creator of the event.

Snerp



Snerp, leader of the Ahms Region Democratic Party, sent his application for Wynncraft Presidency on November 10th and passed Stage 2 of the election with a whopping 5 votes! His slogan is "Make Gavel Great Again" and he stands for airship fast travel around the world, adding grind spots to sky islands, making Ahmsord a bigger town, making the trade market balanced, and reducing the mythic drop chances to 0.05%. During the creation of this the poll says he's actually winning by three votes, as oppose to his 3 vote disadvantage last night. Do you think Snerp will win? Tell me what you think.

The man, the myth, the forum lurker... YUNO who it is... sorry just had to get that pun out there. Yuno, or "Uno" as my computer keeps autocorrecting it to as I'm writing this, is as of now known as Lucy Lilium of the technocratic imperial party, and stands for "leading the Wynn government better than all you fuckers by actually listening to ya'll". His slogan is:

As of last night, he had a lead in the polls of 4 votes, but is now losing by 3. Do you think Yuno will win?

Interview

So I got a hold of each of them and asked them some questions, here's what they have to say:

Do you consider yourself the Trump or Hillary of this campaign?

Well I wouldn't really consider myself either, I never paid attention to the election since I don't hail from the U.S Buuuuuuuuut, since this is for news I'll have to say trump


I consider myself the Hillary of this campaign.
The primary elections were basically rigged, it was obvious that me ganon or pretz would win as we are big on the forums but pretz doesn't have his mod tag on a googe doc so ganon won and then me.
The final elections were on the forums and again I feel like Hillary, I got my victory stolen from me by the third parties.​

Would you like to give the viewers your final reasons for voting for yourself?

Vote me so that everyone gets mythics for every 20 mobs
And I'll make sure to make the nether and gavel great again!
Ahmsord will be rebuilt into a haven for level 100's

Well I'd like to thank eevee for this event cause well, He obviously took a LOT of time putting this event together and it's really organised and actually turning out like an real life election!

Probably would increase the mythic chance but now you say dictator.....then
I'd probably raze all of gavel and Wynn and turn everything into floating islands with wonderful hay roofed houses

So eeveelution creates this election thread on November 10th, planning the event out in a fantastic way if I might add. The way he organized the event was in three stages:
​

• Stage 1 - Candidates are gathered to see who is going to be participating.​
• Stage 2 - Players are linked to a Google Form to vote on which candidates will make it to Stage 3.​
• Stage 3 - Players can vote for which final candidates they wish to become the President of Wynn via a forum poll on the top of the main thread.​

I got in touch with eevee, someone who's in fact been on the show a couple of times before, and asked him some questions about the event. Here's what he has to say:

What encouraged you to do an event like this?
​

Besides the actual US election, I noticed that there were a lot more community events going on recently. There's the official events hosted by Pretz of course, but there are also a few unofficial ones made by members of the community. This trend might have died down compared to a few months ago, so I decided to try and revive it a bit :)

Are you surprised it got as much attention as it did?​

I am! I expected about half as many applications as I actually got, and the amount of people who voted was also unexpected. In stage 2, 99 people voted before I closed it, and as of now there's a total of 140 votes for President. I really didn't expect this to be popular, and thought it might have failed with the semi-complicated election process, but fortunately I turned out to be wrong :D

Are you planning on hosting anything else like this in the future?

I'd really like to do something like this again, provided that I get a good idea. People do like this so why not make more? Hopefully the President doesn't fire me before I make another event!
