Soul is a pretty hard concept to understand, does it have shape, form, taste, smell the list goes on and on, do I really need a soul I can never tell atleast I still have my heart

 

Back when I was a level 36 warrior with my old account, and back when bobs mythic's were endgame, this guy dropped a really cool bobs mythic spear, and I picked it up, and saw that it had a tier 2 green powder on it (these are all terms from back in the day) and I knew how good that spear was, yet I gave it back :D

I wonder what would happen in a scenario liek this below with how people view item theft:

2 people grinding in FH, one has a mythic and 5 SP. He dies and drops that mythic. Would the other be in the wrong if he were to puck up the items and keep them not knowing untill after he picks up the mythic it was so?

Really curios (hope i don't start a flame war over it) and if anyone has questions on this scenario, i can answer.

Anyway, theft when dropping a mythic is rude and unjust. But maybe a solution to it would be to move the drop key to, idk "p" to keep this from happening?

 

Honestly I am shocked at the amount of people saying "I'd have a hard time giving it back as well so I don't blame the guy".

Why the fuck would you have a hard time, giving an item that means so much to someone back to the ACUTAL OWNER?

Not trying to be a sjw but god damn it's sad seeing people even assuming their greed would take over their honesty and decency.

It happened to me twice where I picked up someone's stuff (which could be valuable to me as well) and I gave them back instantly, because I know full well that this is a video game, the day that you stop playing on this server or this game all together, your virtual possessions will mean nothing to you.
If you did keep whatever item you picked up that belonged to someone else, the only thing you'll take away with you back to reality is knowing that you had been, and always will be a dishonest and greedy thief.

There's a difference between being selfish and being dishonest.
You pick up an ID'ed mythic in the middle of nowhere, and decide to keep it without making a forum post looking for the owner -> you're a normal human who's casually selfish
You pick up an ID'ed mythic on the side of someone while that person is looking for the exact mythic with the exact ID's and decide to keep it anyway -> you're a thief, a lesser human

 

This person might have not seen this thread yet, this person might not even have a forum account. But yes, there's a difference.

 

I would assume that person didn't conveniently leave the scene right after he/she picked up the apoc and missed the whole situation where they were looking for the apoc right where it dropped.

 

You know I was about to make a big wall of text about how it is wrong of you to judge people like that, but here is the thing lets say the guy had heard about mythic drop chances, lets say the person suddenly picked up a mythic, lets say the person saw the chat and fled the scene. While I do not approve this method of behaviour It is still not right to condem people as worse compared to you. And even if someone finds an item at the trade market with the exact ids, It is still not right to brand the person with the item a thief as it is possible to get the same ids with insane RNG luck...

What are you even talking about? I can't seem to comprehend the point you're trying to convey here.
Are you arguing that a person is not necessarily a thief if he has a mythic with the exact ID's as someone else's? Because none of what I said lead to this conclusion that you're trying to debate against.

 

What Im saying that this entire thread is like a witch hunt and is making some one as evil and despicable looking as can be.

There might not have been a stealer at all did the person who dropped disconnect or lag out soon after droping it if yes the item just got deleted no one picked it up

people could have brought monsters to kill that player when he was afk in a safe spot waiting to get soulpoints

powders lvl 2 was really easy to get back then ...
