Whats sad is that people are being separated because of their beliefs of other supporters. People are taking away other peoples freedom of speech, and giving false beliefs and rumors about trump supporters

do not view the group of people as a whole, that they all believe this or that. Everyone has a different reasoning of why they support or believe or think or say something.

Whose ready for the 2nd American civil war? Or does anyone else want to stop this bullshit

 

I guess The election has screwed everyone over in more ways than one. Now we have not only someone who will probably crash the economies of other countries and cause global warming (and possibly cause the orphanage population to skyrocket), but now everyone in America hates each other. Great.

(I may also be heavily screwed irl, but that's a different story...)

Seriously, Trump has almost divided North America, not just the U.S, just by being ELECTED. We need a fix for this... Let's hope Trump plays his cards right.

 

Are you trying to say that thinking Trump does not like Mexicans and Muslims is a false belief? You linked a video in which Trump says so and then talked about false beliefs so it sure seems so. And surprise, surprise, they aren't "false beliefs". During Trump's campaign he openly said in speeches that he wants to build a wall, he also said he wants to deport Muslims, in fact recently he reiterated that he wants to build a wall . People have every reason to be against him being president, and people didn't want him as president anyway, he didn't win the popular vote but still he won through some odd system, gotta love that democracy right there.

Secondly, people are taking away other people's freedom of speech? Please, explain that to me. The anti-Trump protesters aren't limiting anyone's freedom of speech, they are exercising their own freedom of speech. I think you have a misunderstanding of what freedom of speech is, it is a right protected by the first amendment to speak without censorship by the government. Common people such as you and me can't obstruct anyone's freedom of speech, not in the sense that it's illegal to do so, in that we simply can't, what can we do if we don't want someone to speak, tell them to shut up? The government is the only one that holds the power to obstruct someone's freedom of speech through censorship or restraint.

And although I agree that we shouldn't view the group of people as a whole, that isn't really what the protests are about, they aren't so much against the voters, as Trump himself, Trump voters aren't bigots, it's just all the bigots voted Trump.

Although trump protesters have the right to protest, they don't have the right to commit violence toward other people just because of their bbeliefs. The violence is making trump supporters limit their speech, in fear that they will be attacked of they say that they support trump . I know some trump supporters are probably doing the same thing to Muslims and Mexicans, but this is causing separation in the U.S.

Before you jump at my throat by claiming I'm ignoring what Trump said in other speeches ("They're all rapists"), I'm not talking about that, I'm referring to the specific point you made. Building a wall isn't inherently anti-Mexican or whatever.

That's true, even though he backpedaled by saying "I might keep the good ones, they can stay".

Would you react the same way if the roles were reversed ? Let's imagine the scenario would be flipped : Hillary won the electoral college but lost the popular vote. A good question to ask yourself is : "Would I still defend the popular vote even though I wouldn't like the outcome ?"
If you answer no, then it might be time to acknowledge your internal double thinking and move forward.

Other than that, I agree that the electoral college might have to go. It seems so convoluted for such a simple task.

You seem to think the broad term of "Freedom of Speech" is to be only approached through the lens of the american constitution. I come from France, and here, it's illegal to say the Holocaust never happened. Would you consider that freedom of speech ? Let's go into more details :

What if, instead of two people, it's Twitter telling you to shut up ?
What if, instead of two people, it's your boss telling you to not broadcast your views in a public forum, even without attaching the company's name to your opinions ?
What if, instead of two people, it's the university you were supposed to give a speech at that cancelled your platforum, because some people campaigned against you by saying you were a neo-nazi ?

You make it seem like it's purely black and white, and that the only definition of freedom of speech is to be rattached to the legal document of a single country. It's not, just like every big term, it's simply more gray than you make it out to be.

You seem to forget that between "two people arguing" and "you and the governement arguing", there is a world of possibilities that might crack this false dichotomy you seem to be so fond of.

And this is another part where I strongly disagree.

What about the people who voted for Hillary because she's a women without even considering her stances ? What about the people that dismiss the opinions of straight white males just because of their identity and skin colour ? What about the Hillary supporters who paint every Trump supporter as a racist ?

Global warming was a study from the 1970s with almost no evidence behind it. Recently they did a new study that has more evidence behind the earth getting hotter, this study is called Climate change.

Climate change has to do with how CO2 is getting trapped in our atmosphere. As we can see with Venus, having CO2 in the atmosphere causes things to heat up.

Global warming has a different theory behind it. Scientists believe that Ozone gets heavy by greenhouse gases and causes them to fall. Ozone is a shield in the stratosphere that protects us from the sheer heat of the sun. When it falls it creates holes in this shield causing the earth to heat up.

Many of the scientists who believe in Global warming had predictions which were incredibly inaccurate .

I'm not sure where I stand on Climate change in-general, but Global warming is a study that has been disproved many times.

 

In all seriousness everyone, we cannot be certain about whatever Trump is going to do. At all.

First, he lied... Let me get the statistics quickly... 70% of the time. We can't take his word for ANYTHING.

Second, he was, fun fact, a democrat his whole life, but turned republican for the election. I don't know what view he represents, and have no way of knowing.

Third, he has a knack for changing his mind. Enough said.

Fourth, he and Hillary were apparently in good standings before the election. Why would he suddenly turn? Moreover, my mother knows someone who worked for Trump decades ago and said he was nice, but fame and fortune is known to corrupt, so we have no idea what kind of person he is.

In Conclusion, we can't tell what kind of person he is, what he stands for, and so on. Really, the uncertainty is killing me.
