Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Once Ihra gets back to the group, she notices Abigail playing with fire, and a fogged up iceberg.


"Well, think about it this way: Myria was treated as a legendary death guardian to her kind, and she was killed when she still had a daughter she loved and wished to take care of. What have you done?" I ask.

 

Ihra starts casting a healing spell inside the iceberg.


I... don't know. I didn't expect to be alive. I don't remember much before being chained and used as a puppet."

 

The iceberg clears a bit, and a sad looking Katie looks through.


"I think that's a good enough reason. You never lived, someone did it for you." I say.

 

"What's wrong?" Ihra asks, healing and energizing Katie.


"Wasting my life involuntarily somehow rates as just as reasonable as being a legend and having a daughter?" Ragnyon asks, confused.

 

Katie looks like she's been crying, and still is. A few icy figures attempt to form on the iceberg but just melt away.


"You didn't waste your life. It was taken from you. You could've become a powerful prophet in that time." I say.

 

Ihra tries to start breaking the iceberg.


"How is that reason for a second life?"

 

The iceberg breaks away, slowly but surely.


"Because you didn't get to live your first." I say.

 

"Katie... come on, it's okay..." Ihra says, worried.


"So... how would I meet with Gaia?"

 

Katie's sobs can start to be heard the more Ihra breaks through.


"Ask the forest guardians to try and let you speak with her." I say.

 

After Ihra breaks the iceberg, she hugs Katie.


"Can you help me? Like, could Victus help me with it?"

 

Katie hugs Ihra back, sobbing.


"I'd say you should ask Myria for help. She was brought back by Gaia after all." I say.

 

"What's wrong? The light creature is gone and Aj is fine..."


"Where's Myria, then?"

 

"I-I can't see." Katie says, sobbing.


"Probably back with the group." I say.

 

"Can't see what?" Ihra asks, healing Katie as much as she can.


"Thanks." Ragnyon says, seeking out Myria.

 

"A-Anything." Katie says, sobbing. Her hands seem to be moving around Ihra's back.


"A good place to start would be in the realm you came from." I say, opening a portal.

 

Ihra keeps trying more healing spells.


"How the hell did I get back here?!"

 

They don't seem to work. Katie just keeps sobbing.


"I dunno." I say, shrugging.

 

"Other than you can't see, what's wrong?" Ihra asks.


"How many portals do you have?!"

 

"I-I'm scared." Katie says, hugging Ihra tighter and sobbing more.


"Lots." I say, shrugging.

 

"Of what?"


"How many in the city?" Ragnyon asks, cross.
