People Trying To Steal Items.

Well hello everyone, Today I want to talk about something quite annoying that have started in the last few weeks, I've noticed that every single time someone accidentally drops his items people would constantly be trying to steal it, I remember that a while back this kind of stuff never happened and I wanna know... Why? Why would people be so selfish and actually try to steal other person's item? And for what? A virtual currency?

My last straw broke when in a grinding party @Madib00 accidentally dropped his Apocalypse while lagging and someone actually stole it, We've been trying to figure out who did it for 20 minutes but no one said a word, This kind of stuff are the best example for pointless greed and should be stopped.

It's definitely an ass move but I don't blame him, I would of probably had a pretty tough time giving it back as well

 

People stole stuff in the past
Ex: lose all soul points, player comes and swoops them up

 

You know... the human is naturally a selfish creature. I can't really blame the person who got the Apocalypse, I would have a hard time giving it back too. But yes, it is an ass move.

 

My suggestion is to watch the trade market for an apoc with the exact Ids

 

I think that @thatswhatido suggestion of item locks would help this problem for the people who lag and accidentally drop their fav item. For now there's really nothing to do about it. People are mean and selfish these days. Like people said above, the human is such a greedy and selfish species. It's just how we were all grown to be.

 

I guess this is how it goes.
Wynncraft is an online game with the possiblity to do greedy stuff like this without no real life or in-game consequences.
But the fact some people in the game still actually use other's'misfortune to their gain is making me really sad.

To everyone who has never lost a mythic like this, I swear you would give back every single one you see being dropped if the same had happened to you.

But what we must remember is the community is mostly very understanding, fair and friendly. Every community has assholes, but there's nothing we can do about it. We should be thankful things are as good as they are now, it could be much worse.

You don't have to worry about it anymore, I have some great friends who offered to get me a new one. ^_^ I cannot thank them enough, it should not be their thing to do at all. ;-;

It is gone. We cannot find it, nor be sure which one is mine. He could have reIDd it, and POOF all evidence is gone. All I can hope for is he realizes that is not right and returns it to me. But it doesn't seem like he cares. No can do, no matter how sad that is.

In reality, it's sad that this happened, but it's to be expected when you're using the internet where there are no consequences.

How much is the item worth?

 

I bought it for 2 stacks 21LE.
I had to borrow some from a friend to get it too, now I have negative LE and no apoc.

 

I thought that after dropping an item, there was the usual delay of you being able to pick it up again, but there was a longer wait for others to pick it up.

 

Fortunately not all wynn players are thieves.
I dropped my weapon in the same situation and in 5 min it has come back to me :)

 

There is, but it is like 15 seconds or something. It is easy to accidentally drop and item without niticing before it is too late.

 

I remember saying there was like a ~2 minute wait, but I guess they must've changed it in the gameplay update. I remember how people used to drop items, and if they ran past it before you after you stood on it for ages they'd still pick it up.

 

I had actually lost a mythic once before, too. The guy claimed it was his though they had the exact same ids, it was in Detlas. So in revenge me and 3 other friends follow him around and took every kill he tried to get, even to the extent of going to the realm of light

 

Why wasn't I the stealer ? ;(
