Twains Mansion

Hello,

I cant seem to access the fireplace in the twains mansion quest, in which I mean I cannot drop emeralds or items into the eyes of the wither carpet, I have the ghostly cap equiped, I don't know anything else I can do.
Please Help!

If the hoppers aren't working, try switching servers. Sometimes certain servers have glitched mechanics that require a restart to fix. If you find a server that works, the wither eyes should accept your items.

Also, the ghostly cap is required to enter the graveyard, which comes after the wither eye passage. Once you enter the passage from the wither eyes, throw an emerald in the grave inside the room, go to the graveyard, and jump in the hole by the white tombstone.

 

Now that I have done this and got into the little area, ive gotten past the passcode and everything and im at the boss fight, I have tried switching servers mutliple times and killing the boss multiple times, but he still doesnt drop the book :( Please help

 

The boss should drop the book if you killed him. If he dies from another entity (such as fire or the Lost Soul projectiles), he is probably not going to drop the book. Server issues should not affect this as this is a mob drop and the Phantom Twain mob is set to drop a book upon death by a player.

Make sure nothing else is killing the mob, and try to get the killing blow on him. If you do that, the book should drop.
