"Talking typically keeps someone in place. If she's seen you before, we may not want to let her see you again, though."

 

"If you have a death wish, then you should try talking to her. You cannot be anywhere near her when she is killed." Eve says.

 

"I'll take your word on that. But maybe..."
I look at Crystal, and we make eye contact.
"Crystal, do you have a way to reform yourself?"
"...Yeah. Wait, are you thinking about putting me next to her?!"
Crystal seems astonished.

 

"If that were plausible, I'd fight her close range," Eve says, blasting off her left hand. A grey, gooey substance pours out of Eve's arm, and she puts it on the ground. The grey goo spreads on the ground before forming a new hand. "But killing her will destroy anything close range. No reforming possible."

 

"Well, you might be able to do what I was planning."
I say to Eve, then turn to Crystal.
"I was just planning to use some of you, not all of you. And I would've still asked if you were okay with it, first."
"Oh. I'm really not even sure if I can control a detached me. Haven't tried."

Ihra starts to stir.
"Aj... help, please... your robot's..." she utters wearily, stretching.

Back to night vision. Not too shabby, seeing as the sun's setting.

 

I seem surprised.
"Ihra, it's okay. If you're feeling weak, don't struggle."

I turn to Eve.
"What exactly did you do to her?"

 

Her tongue hangs lazily out of her mouth as she lets off a few moans.

 

I nod, acceptingly, as Crystal goes over and crouches next to Ihra.
He smiles, and puts pressure on Ihra's back.
"Does this hurt?"
He asks.

 

Ihra just drools while happily moaning, clearly completely delirious.

 

Crystal wipes the drool off her face, and, taking it as a 'no', lifts up Ihra to a sitting position.

 

Ihra soon just flops over back on the ground, falling back asleep.

 

Crystal just smiles.

 

I appear to be satisfied with this answer.

Helianthus decides to walk around for a bit, looking around for any more mining camps.

 

"Anything detached from me will almost always melt away to prevent my technology from being stolen." Eve says.

"Aj is not here currently." Eve says.

"Knockout dart. Paralysis and sleep. Administered in the neck for maximum effectivity." Eve says.

 

There are none nearby, but the one you're at begins to have some activity. Some plans of prospecting and ore collection, but nothing interesting.

Ihra just reaches out for Eve's leg, eyes rolling around on their own.
Sgavrinn whines.

 

Eve rolls her eyes, before putting her hand on Ihra's neck. Ihra feels a sharp pain, before feeling a massive surge of energy.

 

This puts her back to sleep after a groan, then Sgavrinn nervously stands between Eve and Ihra.

Ragnyon's spirit taps you on the shoulder.
"Your robot seems overly effective."

 

"She's a war machine. She's designed to do everything she's tasked with to 100% completion with maximum effectivity and efficiency." I say.

 

"Overly." Ragnyon repeats. "Now, could you maybe label us all as non-threats?"
