Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"You are to come with me. Do not make me use force." Eve says.


"I don't want to stress you after what happened. You should stay here and rest up." I say.

 

"You're not in charge of me!" Ihra shouts back, blinking to speed herself up.

"Stress? Whatever. You can stress me all you want and I'll make your most hardened generals look like rocks."

 

Ihra feels something pierce her neck, and she feels her joints lock up and a strong feeling of tiredness overcome her as she gets caught in a net and dragged back.


"You die, and I can't save anyone else. Ruby dies, and everyone else gets saved." I say.

 

She wearily puts a barrier around herself as the net burns up to the lava below, floating in a bubble that's just getting tossed around as she falls unconscious.

"I die, and I die. I don't see the problem."

 

It seems the net is made of a fireproof metal, and Eve flies Ihra above the lava back to the city.

"If you die, then Ruby's one step ahead." I say.

 

Ihra soon falls asleep entirely, causing Sgavrinn to be suspicious when Eve passes by.

"Out of eleven. She'd still have little chance with you after her."

 

I pretty clearly notice the flying girl with a net with an almost familiar face, so I whisper something to Crystal, and fly up to her level, looking at her.

 

Eve flies Ihra back into the city, lowering her to the ground near the group.

She flies past you, but she wears a simple white shirt, trousers and boots, with long, brown hair, fair skin and slightly odd looking dark green eyes. The strangest part, however, is the jetpack she flies with seems to protrude from her back.

 

Sgavrinn sniffs at the net, then tries to nudge Eve away from Ihra gently while letting out a quiet whine.

 

Helianthus attempts to steal an ability from one of he creatures in the Darklands.

I walk over to the girl and ask, "Who might you be and why are you bringing in Ihra asleep and in a net?" My voice drips with suspicion.

 

I drop next to her, and wait for her to answer this question:

 

Eve removes the net from Ihra, stepping back.

"Eve. I was tasked to protect her, and she didn't comply when I asked her to come with me. I had to take action to assure her safety." Eve says. Her way of speaking changes slightly as she talks.

 

"So, rendering her incapable of defending herself is the best way of protecting her? Or do you plan to revive her consciousness?"
I ask Eve.

 

"She doesn't need to defend herself. I'll defend her." Eve says.

 

"I think you underestimate Ihra's abilities."
I say, stepping up to Eve, almost sizing her up.
"And I also think that you're too confident in your own."

 

Eve's right hand turns into a robotic minigun, and she points it directly at you.

"Step back." Eve commands, her left hand turning into a minigun too, which she points at a nearby abandoned building and fires a burst of rounds incredibly quickly. The minigun completely shreds through the building in a matter of seconds.

 

"The air is a nice place for bullets, too. That could've been made into someone's home, or dismantled properly. But I get your point."
I step back.
"We aren't up against children. I hope you keep that in mind."

 

Eve places a small target on top of you head, before blasting off on her jetpack. She flies away until she's barely a speck in the sky. A short moment later, a bullet knocks the tiny target off of your head whilst not touching you at all. Eve flies back down to where she was.

"I'm built to kill effectively, I've even taken down Aj in duels before." Eve says, serious.

 

"Impressive. How do you know Aj?"
Behind me, Eve can see an approaching humaniod crystal.

 

"He created me." Eve says, before spinning around and aiming a charged blast of energy at the humanoid crystal.
