Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I sprint towards them, before holding Shadow Katana out and spinning rapidly, becoming somewhat of a living tornado that heads straight towards the draconian.

 

Molten scales splash onto you as the two preservers lock energy beams before the hunted flashes away again behind cover.
"You are as dedicated to killing us as we are you."
"It's me or you. I want it to be me."

 

I disappear and re-appear next to where I was standing, the molten scales no longer on me. I focus for a moment, before I disappear and the hunted finds it incredibly hard to move.

 

Their body crackles with electricity, wearing on you as Ruby tries to reposition herself to avoid having to kick up the ground.

 

"Ahem!" I say to Ruby, "Sorry for being so impatient, but I think killing this guy while I can hold them still would be top priority."

 

"Her." The hunted mutters.

"If I die too, the kill is pointless."

 

"I try to use gender-neutral pronouns to avoid making assumptions. I mean, 'them' is fine in either situation, right?" I say.

"You can't die because they can't do anything!" I proceed to shout.

 

"You referred to me as 'this guy.' Thanks for shaming me in what are likely my last moments, you bastard."

"I'll kick up earth. That might get me." Ruby shouts.

 

"Guy doesn't have to be specifically female. I think in this day and age most people mean male and female. I mean, who uses 'gal' anymore?" I say.

 

"I've avoided contact with society. Who wants to see someone who's half dead and impaled themselves?"

 

"Well, at least nobody will miss you." I say, extending spikes through the roof of the draconian's mouth, throat and cutting their voicebox.

 

"Ruby... won't b-be..."

"THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" Ruby shouts angrily.

 

"Shutting them up. I'll let their screams sound clear, though." I say.

 

"I never scream." They think.

"Move them... if you haven't locked up their body yet!"

 

A pair of wings ripping out of the draconian's back practically air-delivers the draconian to Ruby.

"Sign for your package, miss. A murder will do." I say.

 

Ruby locks you in the other draconian's body.
"If you want to call me a murderer, then I'll earn it. This isn't murder, it's reclaimation."

"It's murder." The hunted thinks.

 

"Ruby, what the hell are you doing!?" I exclaim.

 

"You called me a murderer. I'm making sure you're right." Ruby says, charging a massive, cleary fatal psyblast.

"Never call her anything remotely offensive, or suggest she's doing anything remotely offensive." The hunted thinks.

 

"Hm. How about a change of plans." I say, dropping myself and the hunted draconian through a portal, which closes shortly afterward.

 

You don't drop.
"How about not?" Ruby laughs. "What did you expect from a stasis hold?"

"Your survival instinct is delayed."
