Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Myria's expression remains unchanged.

"I'd take Aj with you if you'd like some help." Myria says, glancing behind her.

"Aj!" Artemis exclaims happily, running over to hug me as I step out of a portal behind Myria.

 

"I can't work with one who wants me dead. He finds me irritating, so I will kill them on my own."

 

"He does not want you dead, at least not anymore. Did he not bend time to save you from death?" Myria asks, smirking.

 

"Only to save Abigail." Ruby says, chuckling.

 

"And you," Myria says, "He cares for his friends."

 

"I'm not his friend. We're allies because we share a common goal. He did it for Abigail; don't try to bend that."

 

"Ignorance is not bliss, it is killer." Myria says.

 

"Glad you've come to share my point of view." Ruby says, clearly trying to pry the vision from Ragnyon's memory.

 

"Aj!" Myria calls.

I walk over, "Yeah?" I ask casually.

"Ruby wants you to help her kill things. You're good at killing things, right?" Myria asks.

"Oh, sure. We weren't really doing much here anyway, so an adventure with Ruby sounds like fun," I say happily, "Might be able to give these some more use."

I show the shurikens Ruby forged for me.

 

"I suppose you can come... but you have given our enemies mercy when it would be more efficient to cut them down. All of them must die." Ruby says, frustrated as Ragnyon keeps resisting.

 

"Kill them because they're evil. Got it." I say.

 

"They're not!" Ragnyon yells as Ruby grabs her by the neck.
"My prize was life. You WILL give me that memory."
"N-no... I-I won't..." Ragnyon utters, gasping.

 

"Let go of her, Ruby." Myria says, serious.

 

"I want the memory." Ruby growls.
Ragnyon continues resisting, but is starting to weaken.

 

Myria grabs me, which catches me off guard, and somehow causes me to empower her before grabbing Ruby with one hand and prying the other between Ruby's claw and Ragnyon's neck. Myria opens her hand, easily seperating Ruby's grip from Ragnyon and pulling her away with immense strength.

 

Ruby lets out a roar.
"Easy way or hard way. Give me the memory!"
Ragnyon just gasps for air.

 

Ruby feels her energy being drained at an alarming rate, and she can't think properly. What feels like static infects her mind and thoughts.

 

Helianthus searches the camp for any items of value, trying his best to remain unseen.

 

Ruby pulls back, disgruntled.
"This is why I don't fully trust you. I need that memory... I'm going to kill them all. Don't stop me; I don't want to hurt any of you."

Only personal things and mining tools, nothing more.

 

Helianthus grumbles and looks around for where they've started mining.
