"The other guardians can help, too."

 

Abigail gives Ihra a confused look.

 

"Victus and the others can help in the town, is my point." Ihra says

 

Abigail smiles and nods.

 

Ihra heads back to Artemis and co, waves to them, then disappears out of the upper entryway.

 

Artemis waves back, as does Myria.

 

Sgavrinn yawns, then falls asleep while curled up near Ragnyon.
"Hope the healing's come along. We're running out of time, I fear." She sighs.

 

"What do you mean?" Artemis asks.

 

Ragnyon pauses.
"I don't mean to scare, but Xlentia and the Hive Master are growing impatient. I looked into our future, and one of them draws near. They watch now, but they seem... disturbed."

 

"You make it sound like they want to fight us." Myria says.

 

"They stay near, but have yet to make a move. I don't know what's stopping them."

 

"Perhaps a fear of changing the timeline." Myria says.

 

Helianthus follows the mining crews.

 

"They'd do anything to destroy us, but... perhaps that assumption is incorrect."

 

"Changing timelines can have little, to severe effects. From a single death to dooming all inhabitants of the new timeline." Myria says.

"Aj seems to know quite a bit about time travel, actually." Artemis comments.

 

They move extremely slow, soon setting up camp as the sun starts to set.

"I'm awar-"
Ruby appears, startling Ragnyon.
"You. Show me where they are."
"W-who?"
"The one watching. Now."
"I-I... can't..."

 

Myria keeps an eye on Ruby, but doesn't interact.

 

Ruby groans.
"They need to die. I want my life I worked so hard for. Not a shell, not the remains of a false promise. An actual life; and they are all that stand between me."
"You can't be ser-"
"I fought for my life, and they took it away from me. I will scour every plane of existence if it means getting what I deserve!"
Ragnyon falls silent, shaking.

 

"Revenge?" Myria asks.

 

Ruby turns hard, glaring at Myria.
"I gave up everything to stay alive. They took that too... If revenge means taking what's rightfully yours, then yes. I've killed them all, and I WILL do it again." She growls.
