The Spotlight | A New Wynncraft Series ( Judges Chosen )

Well hello everyone! I've been thinking about this idea for a while and decided to make a new forum series, Called...

The Spotlight

In this forum series (That I am going to do weekly) I would be showcasing and talking about my and the judge's favorite threads of the week, We would showcase overall 6 threads, 2 from the Wynncraft section, 2 from the suggestions section, And 2 from the "Your work" section, The first episode would hopefully come out next Friday.

So how do I become a judge?

There would be a need for 3 judges, One for the Wynncraft section, One for the suggestions section, And one for the Your Work section, Decide which one you'd like to be and private message me on the forums and tell me why you want to be a judge and why you think you are the right person for it.

Requierments:

Wynncraft section:
This section would be all about the game part, So basically you just need to be active in the game, Know basic lore, And also be active on that certain forum section.

General Suggestions:
This part as you can see by the name, Would be all about the suggestions that people try to bring into the game, To become a judge in this section you need to know basic game balancing (Know how GM stuff works, Basically what could actually reach the game and what has no chance to).

Your work:
This is going to be all about the creative part of the forums, Drawings, Buildings, Songs, What not? To become a judge in this section you should be good with art (Something I personally am not the best at), And I'd really like having a judge that is also very active in that certain section.

Overall
The judges are going to be a massive part of this series, They will be searching for potential threads with me and share their opinion on it with everyone else.

Cool idea... I might apply but I kinda lack the time to do it, Im also not the most experienced with Xenforo stuff. So most likely not.

If you're a judge, can other judges still use your threads?
I would rather not be a judge and have one of my songs showcased than be a judge and lose the opportunity.

 

I wish I could apply but I have better things to do like an interview which was due ages ago

Could you not have waited for more applications?! I'm sure a lot of other people wanted to apply, but the thread's barely been out for two hours! A lot of people that might have applied are still ASLEEP because of timezones!

 

You are correct, Though I was considering @Whimsicality for that place as a judge even before the thread came out (Messaged her literally the second I made it asking her to be a judge) And no, If you actually become a judge you would suddenly not be able to judge your own threads, It doesn't really make sense for a judge to be judged, Also that's why I'm looking for people that are well-known in the community to be judges, So they can help a bit less-known people get the attention they deserve, Let's please try and not take that down the road of a "Flame war", Whim is a judge, There's nothing that can really be done about it, I can't just be like "Hi yeah so... I need to get more applications so you're not gonna be a judge for now" and even if I do that she still has really high chances of winning, So if she did it'll all just look fake, Sorry.

That's quite rude. Anyways, I'm a well known artist in the your work section and I take great pride in what I do. I support all the other artists working hard doing what they love. I want to show the community that there's other talent then just the main artists/builders/composers that post. Because there is a lot of undiscovered talent within the your work section, and I browse this section quite often and lift the smaller artists up and make them feel good and give them pointers.

Mutton did come to me very early about this asking if I would like to be a judge because I am well known, I should not be ashamed for accepting a good oppurtuinity.

You should not put me down in this situation, you should be happy for me. I'm not an awful devil evil person. I take great pride in art and I respect other artists highly. Just because theres been bad things said about me and people have a distorted image of my true character doesn't mean I should be ostracized and put down by the community. Because @Salteds Hot Face i doubt you have actually ever had a nice conversation with me and I doubt you truly know who I am.

I am Really upset about how I've been treated by the community lately. I'm a real human being. So please instead of getting angry, just be happy for someone.

 

Sounds fun! I may not be extremely well-known, but I spend a lot of time in the GS section, so I might apply for judge there. (If I can make an application in time)

 

Does general suggestions also include the feedback section?

I don't doubt you, I'm sure you'll be an amazing judge considering how active you are and how much you know the topic, it's just disappointing that I never even got a chance to apply because my message was never responded to until after :/
I would have liked to have been a judge, but oh well. Whim is a good choice too.

 

IF you looked at it my way... I wasn't saying you were a bad judge.... I was just saying he should have seen what others can bring... Like @XavierEXE he is a big part of the "Your Work" section community, and he didn't even get to sign up.
