    FOR YOUR INFORMATION
I am aware that I might not be as good as some of the other writers that are lurking on these forums.
I have been writing on this story for around a year now, and now I have decided that I wanted to share the story, because I don't know why I have kept it only to myself. (Because I'm afraid people won't like it, duh.)
And also, my native language isn't English so don't expect the story to be grammatically correct everywhere.

Also, the poll is a bit weird, I'm sorry.

There are stories, stories about heroes. Not two heroes, not three. But thousands of heroes. In other names, these heroes were the army of Wynn. There were also four different kinds of these soldiers of Wynn. We had the Archers, the ones who were specialized in the art of archery. They could easily escape a fight with a typical escape spell. After the Archers, the Warriors came. They were the ultimate fighting class. They could deal a lot of damage and yet receive no damage. Thirdly, the Mages took place. The Mages could easily defeat any enemy on distance with their spells. Make hell rain on them, or let the power of ice slow the enemies. And lastly, the stealthiest of them all, the Assassins. These were masters of becoming one with the shadows. They could disappear into nowhere and stab their enemies in the back.

In other words, Wynn's army were unstoppable. Wynn's government started sending out their heroes to help the other provinces of Gavel, Fruma and Dern. But one day... rumours started to spread out in the province of Wynn. Rumours about how evil the heroes were. "The Mages uses dark magic, they can summon meteors from nowhere." "How does the Archers shoot so many arrows in a matter of seconds? Dark magic." "How are Warriors able to shout so loud? Must be a matter of dark magic." "There is no possible way for the Assassins to disappear into the shadows without using dark magic!" The queen of Wynn, who was loyal to the hero soldiers, didn't believe these rumours. She thought they would fade out in a matter of weeks. That wasn't the case. The rumours just got worse. People said the assassins' sometimes dragged in random, innocent people into corners of the cities and brutally murdered them. As long as the queen lived, the hero soldiers were secure. No one wanted to kill the queen's most loyal soldiers. There was a special bond between the queen and her hero soldiers. They were in first hand loyal to her, and she was always loyal to them.

But when the rumours got to Gavel, Fruma and Dern, nothing could stop the other governments to kill the queen's trusty soldier. The herosoldiers realized they couldn't stay in the other provinces, therefore they went back to Wynn, where they were safe. No one could prove they were using dark magic. Until the queen was assaulted. No one knows who murdered her, but the person took her elemental tiara, with all the five elemental symbols on it.

This was the start of The Elimination. Wynn's government coldly killed every single herosoldier because they thought the herosoldiers assassinated the queen. The herosoldiers panicked, fleeing into the three other provinces, where they eventually got killed, too. The amount of heroes shrank, fast. After just a few weeks, there were only a few hundreds left, that had gone into hiding. But unfortunately for them, the four governments had formed one supergovernment. They ruled together. They had made a new superarmy. The Superarmy's soldiers eventually found the heroes, and brutally killed them all. There were only a few herosoldiers who escaped. These twelve soldiers who survived, got a new hiding camp.

They had found a very good place to hide in. In Fruma, there was a mountain with a lot of caves in, and they went into one of those caves. What they didn't know was that the Superarmy were searching the caves after them. Eventually, after a week, the Superarmy found them. They cornered the soldiers and killed eight of them. The four others successfully escaped and teleported to Nudali, an abandoned city in Dern. These herosoldiers were… ™

Fuyina, the Assassin of the Thundering weathers. She was one of the most stealthiest Assassins and like Azril, one of the Queen's closest soldier. Fuyina was extremely loyal to her friends and the queen.

Azril, the Warrior called from Earth. She was the greatest Warrior and she was the Queen's personal lifeguard. Azril was also very generous and kind against others.

Coliad, the fiery Archer. He was one of the most uncommon Archers. He fought with fire. He could shoot sixty arrows in a matter of seconds, and they were on fire! Coliad was also a master of disguising.

Malkall, the professional Mage of the Ocean. He was the wisest Mage of them all, and was an expert on finding special places and he could easily identify items. He was a great healer and accompanied the Queen with Azril when they fought in battles.

These herosoldiers went into hiding, and the Superarmy hasn't found them in over twenty years. No one knows if these heroes actually exists, no one knows if the hero soldiers even was a thing. Stories turned into myths, and myths turned into lies. Who knows, if these heroes are alive, dead, or if they even existed?
Berath never knew who his parents were. He was moved to an orphanage when he was just a few weeks old. He grew up in this orphanage learning about the four provinces’ stories and their history. When he was twenty years old, they learned about the old army. It says the old army was led by the old Queen and they were loyal to each other. However, one day the army apparently assaulted the Queen. The four governments formed a supergovernment and made a new army, called The Superarmy. The Superarmy’s goal was to eliminate the old army, thus starting The Elimination. They were successful. Every single herosoldier - as they were called - got eliminated and peace was back. This event happened for roughly around twenty years ago, and as the years have gone, groups of rebels grew. These rebels are hiding, and recruiting people whenever they have the chance. They call themselves 'The Arisen Patriots'. With their great skills, the government hasn't found them. And one day, The Arisen Patriots found Berath walking aimlessly around in Ragni.

The group consisted of three patriot members, all three saw there was something special about Berath. He looked a bit rebellious, they thought.

"We should really talk to him, guys", said the tallest one of them, he had a simple longbow on his back. "He can be useful to us", he continued as the two others looked at Berath.

"I don't know, Myles", the girl in the group said. "He may look like someone who could be a rebel, but we can't just go around and recruit people like that, we're supposed to be unobtrusive about this. What do you think about him, Trevor?", she asked, as she looked around them, fearing someone heard them.

"Hmm, I kind of agree with both of you. He could be useful to us, but alas, such good fortune, it looks too good to be true", Trevor said with a slight frown on his face. "Although... Fiena, we should try, I think we have a good patriot there!", the frown was replaced with a small smile on his young face.

"Alrighty, let us do this. Should I do the talking?", Myles asked. Fiena and Trevor looked at each other and looked back to Myles.

"As usual", they both said. Myles smiled and slowly walked up to Berath, who was bargaining with an item seller. "Hey, you!", Myles shouted to Berath.

Berath turned his head and looked right into the face of a stranger.

"Eh... what do you want?", he asked. He also saw the stranger's bow. He must be an adventurer, he thought. "Here on an adventure..?", Berath asked, what he didn't realize was that he did sound a bit rude.

"No", the stranger replied. "I want to talk with you. You owe me something, remember?", he said. Berath didn't know this guy, so he assumed this guy just wanted to rob Berath on his emeralds.

"Do I owe you something? We don't even know each other! I don't want to talk to you, I don't really talk to strangers", Berath said directly. He won't let this stranger gain money from him. Suddenly, - and really fast - the stranger took Berath's arm and threw him on the ground.

"You owe me, now come with me", he said, and Berath realized he wouldn't leave this guy without a fight. Berath quickly rolled away from the adventurer and he stood up and prepared himself to battle.

"I don't want to do this, but you leave me no choice", The adventurer said and ran forward against him but Berath was quick. He jumped to the side and gave the adventurer a hit in the back and took his arm and twisted it. He had locked the stranger's arms, but not the legs. The adventurer hit Berath with his legs in Berath's crotch. Berath lost the grip of the adventurer and gave away a high gasp of pain. This stranger really knows how to fight, he thought. He can't be a normal adventurer. Berath's pain didn't last long, he was already up and on his way to beat the adventurer, once and for all.

Fiena and Trevor looked at the two guys having a small fight. They knew it wouldn't go well for any of them if they continued. Trevor gave away a small sound of sympathy when he saw Myles kick Berath in the crotch. Fiena giggled. She got serious in just a second though.

"Trevor, I think we have to end this battle. Let me take care of the stranger and you take Myles", she said. "He'll be easy to take out from the battle", Fiena said, with a small grin.

Fiena and Trevor ran towards the fighters and easily ripped them apart. Fiena dragged away Berath and locked his arms with a rope she had in her bag. Myles walked towards Berath with a calm face. "Hey, I'm sorry I had to fight you. You wouldn't want to listen. Let's go down to the sewers," he said. They walked outside of Ragni's walls and down the stairs to the ravine. They took the ladders into the sewers and climbed in. It wasn't nice, and the smell was terrible.

"Just a question, what do I owe you?", Berath asked and raised an eyebrow. "Who even are you?", he said and looked at the three patriots. He realized these weren't normal adventurers.

"We are three ordinary adventurers, and we want a fourth friend to accompany us", Fiena replied. "And you don't owe us anything, we only used that as an excuse to let you come with us, but you didn't want to. You were a little bit of a rebel, there", she said, with emphasis on rebel and blinked to him.

"Me? A rebel? Against w... ohhh...", he said, and then he realized these three were members of The Arisen Patriots. He had heard of them of a rebellious schoolmate. The Arisen Patriots are really well hidden and the government doesn't know about their hiding location, or how they look like. "You are... patriots. What do you want from me?"

"Oh, nothing special, just wanting you to join our little rebellion", Trevor told him. "We need more people to join us and this is how we recruit people. Usually people aren't as intelligent as you to realize we are patriots until we tell them" Berath couldn't believe his ears. Is he speaking with three traitors to the four provinces?

"I should report you. You are traitors. You...", he began to say, but got abrupt by Myles.

"Shut it. We are not traitors, we will tell you once we reach the headquarters. Our leader will tell you the stories that made us arise from the blindness that the government has made. Please trust us, the government isn't what it looks like", he told him. "By the way, what is your name?", Myles asked.

    "Eh, Berath, why?"

"Because once you've told your name to a patriot, you are a patriot", Trevor said, and looked at Fiena and gave her a big smirk. "I told you he'd be a great patriot!", he said to Fiena, and started laughing. This is the beginning of something really great, Trevor said to himself.
The small group of patriots was walking towards Katoa Ranch. Fiena and Trevor told stories and joked with Berath, while Myles looked out for danger. When they were in the sewers of Ragni, Myles and Trevor helped Berath with disguising himself as an adventurer. Berath was, however, still a bit suspicious against them. Could he really trust them? It felt like they liked him, but he wasn’t so sure about Myles. He had been quite silent since the conversation down in the sewers. Berath looked at Fiena and Trevor. Fiena had two daggers that she had sheathed. She had bright and long hair and leather clothes, just as Trevor and Myles, and Berath himself. Trevor however, had a spear on his back and he had short, brown hair. From the looks of it, it kind of looked like the cut their hair with knives. Myles was the only one with nice and fixed hair.

“Eh, I know this is a dumb question”, Berath said. The three patriots turned around and looked at him. Berath continued. “Do you cut your hair with knives?” he asked. He regret his choice immediately. Fiena laughed, Myles raised an eyebrow and Trevor just looked at him.

“That’s the dumbest question anyone has ever asked us. In our group, we don’t ask questions that make no sense. No more silly questions, we have to get to our hideouts”, Myles said skeptically. "Good news though. We are at Katoa now; we just need to go a little more to the North. The entrance is on the side of the mountains at the ocean”, he said, in another optimistic tone. What Myles didn’t think of, was that a Ragni guard just passed them, and heard everything they said.

“Halt! In the name of the army I stop you now. What entrance did you speak of? Give me an answer, or else”, he said, he tried to sound formal, but didn’t succeed so well. The small group stood quiet. Berath got worried, why aren’t they doing anything? “I give you one more warning. What are you doing here? What did you talk about?” he asked again. They stood quiet. The guard lost his temper. He drew his weapon and started walking slowly against them. But then, everything went to so fast. Myles took a step forward and hit the guard in the head with his fist. He threw the guard on the ground and then, he threw him into a bush.

“He won’t remember that”, Myles said as he politely picked up a bottle with light green-blue liquid. It looked like the liquid was shining. “This is a potion that erases your memories from the past ten minutes, he won’t remember that he even saw us”, he said with a small smile on his face.

Berath and the three patriots reached the entrance after five minutes. There were three different kinds of trees surrounding the hidden entrance. Fiena told Berath there was one button on each tree. When all buttons are pressed at the same time, the entrance would open. Berath looked at them while they went to the trees and pressed the buttons. Berath heard a small, crackling noise. Then the sound suddenly stopped and the mountain opened up, showing a long corridor.

Two patriots ran out towards them with weapons drawn. One of them had a bow, and the other one had daggers. “Identify yourselves!”, they said. They had no emotions in their voices, and did sound very formal.

“Fiena the Assassin, Trevor the Warrior, Myles the Archer and Berath, our latest recruit”, Myles said and looked at his friends. “Oh and, the password is ‘Gavel’s tree’”, he said again.

“Access granted”, the two guards said. “Welcome back, guys! We’ve missed you, you’ve been away for so long!”, one of them said with another voice that wasn't as formal as it was before. They entered the base while talking. “What took you so long?”, he asked. Fiena looked at Trevor and Myles, and then at Berath. She didn’t want to tell this in front of the latest recruit, but this was important.

“We have some good and some bad news for Auraja. You see, we’ve been over Wynn and Gavel the latest week to search after Malkall, and we think we found him. But we couldn’t find a way to enter”, she said. "And Kabr'y, could you run to the watchtower and tell them to look out for enemies?", Fiena asked the patriot with the daggers. It looked like he had spent many years training, and he could surely crush skulls with his hands.

"Will do, lady Fiena", he said as he ran off towards another dim lit corridor. Berath saw the walls were made out of quartz, a white, bright stone used for houses in the city Llevigar of Gavel. He also saw weird carvings and mystical symbols on the walls. "You have an amazing body!", he shouted when he took a turn in the corridor. Fiena laughed - and blushed, but no one saw that - and gesticulated to the others to keep walking.

"Nové, could you go and bring another patriot to guard the entrance with you again? We need to guard it all the time", she said, looking at the other patriot that let them into the base.

"Sure thing, Fiena", he said with a smile and turned into another corridor. Berath saw that they were in a long corridor with more corridors branching off. He realized they must be under the mountains between Wynn and Fruma.

"Fiena, what were the bad news..?", Trevor asked, as Fiena finally got rid of the two patriots who were guarding.

"That's something I want to let Auraja know at first", she said, with a small frown of disappointment on her face. Berath, Myles and Trevor realized there was something they missed when they entered the base, but what?

As they continued through the endless corridors, Berath, Myles and Trevor started to get worried. They saw Fiena continuously shake her head, look behind them, look up in the roof and whispering weird things to herself. It also looked like she was losing her balance. Symptoms of something showed up quickly on her. She kept walking, but the fire that she always has in her eyes was gone. All she wanted to do was to bring the news to Auraja. Whenever Trevor and Myles asked her how she was feeling, she only shook her hands and started walking faster. Then she passed out and collapsed on the floor. Trevor and Berath gave away a small sound of disbelief.

"Did that just happen?!", Trevor asked, nearly shouting it out.

"We have to bring her to Auraja, now", Myles said whilst picking up Fiena in his arms. They started running towards the main hall of the base. "I don't know what happened to her, but Auraja will know how to cure whatever cursed Fiena", he said while they were running.

"Fiena... she's cursed. I have only seen this symptom once before. It was... nevermind. We have to bring her to someone who can cure her, but in this case, we need to bring someone to her who can cure her. Only a small problem though, we don't know where this person is", Auraja, the Leader of The Arisen Patriots said. She didn't look very happy.
Malkall looked around his valley. He never thought of how wonderful this place was. His treehouse was surrounded by a big garden with all different kinds of flora. Behind the garden, there was a forest, with animals that Malkall used to conversate with. Malkall was proud of his little base. He had a huge mountain surrounding his valley of peace.

Malkall went into his house. He looked up to three pieces of valuable jewelry, that once belonged to his three greatest friends. Azril's bracelet, Fuyina's amulet and Coliad's ring. Malkall felt a tear going down on his cheek, and he quickly turned away from the jewelry pieces. "It's hopeless, they've won", he mumbled to himself, without knowing that the Patriots was on their way to get him.

Auraja, The Arisen Patriots’ leader, was a very honest woman. She saw the flaws in her plans, and she re-created them. She was the only member of the Patriots who had actually met one of the last herosoldiers. The one she met, was Malkall the Mage.

“As I said, the only person that can cure Fiena is Malkall”, she said “You two have any ideas of where he hides”, she said as she pointed with her thumbs at Myles and Trevor “I know it’s a tough mission, but we need to find Malkall. And who are you?”, she asked and looked at Berath. “A new member? Recruited by three of our greatest recruits? Excellent. What’s your name?”, she asked again. Berath figured out she’s very curious.

“Yeah… I’m new, I guess. My name is Berath. Myles, Trevor and Fiena found me in Ragni, eh”, Berath told her. Auraja looked at him and studied him “But there is something else Fiena told the guards about. She..”, he started, but Trevor took over.

“We were in Gavel, trying to find Malkall, and we think we found him. He’s hiding out in a valley, we think. Although, we couldn’t find a way to enter”, Auraja looked at Trevor with a face of blossoming interest. “That’s all”, Trevor continued. Auraja immediately looked down with a sad face.

“Oh well, we need to send out one patriot to find him. The curse Fiena got is extremely deadly. She was obviously cursed by something evil, and she will die in just a few days if she doesn’t get cured”, Auraja told them. “If we don’t find Malkall, Fiena will die”, she continued.

“Just a question”, Berath started “If we have to find Malkall, we should send someone away right now, right?”, he said.

“Great idea, that wasn’t what I was thinking of at all”, Auraja said, and started laughing. Berath noticed that she’s not only honest, but she can joke, even when the times are bad.

“Actually, Berath, that was your name, right?”, she asked. Berath nodded his head. “Okay, great. I was actually planning to send you, Berath. I know it may sound a bit crazy, but I know you won’t leave Fiena to die”, she said and looked down towards the floor, mumbling something about an old friend. She was right however, Berath didn’t want his newfound friend to die.

Berath was on his way to Gavel. Myles and Trevor told him the valley they found was in the Southern part of Light Forest, at the borders to the ocean. They also gave Berath a pair of glasses which helped him see the entrance to the valley. Berath was sitting in a small hut in the boat Nemract’s Voyage and he was planning and discussing tactics with himself. Soon they would arrive at Selchar and then it would take another hour before the ship goes off again. Then Berath could go and purchase a bow and daggers. He nearly missed the departure in Nemract so he had to purchase weapons in Selchar instead. Berath found it quite interesting how much his life had just changed over the time of just a few hours, but he decided not to think about it. He wanted the four provinces to be like they were for 20 years ago.

When Berath reached Selchar, he got surprised. He had never seen a city this beautiful. The whole island was a city and it was fantastic. He continued walking towards the weapon store, but kept looking at the amusing houses of Selchar. He reached the weapon store - The Swordfish, as it was named - and entered. He quickly picked a bow made out of the finest birch trees and with special strings made for firing arrows quickly and then he took some granite daggers and paid the shopkeeper. He left the shop in a hurry and went to the ship again. He didn't want to miss the departure. He was too tired to do anything, so he went to the comfortable bed in his hut.

Six hours later, Nemract's Voyage reached Llevigar. It was night and Berath had no time to rest, Fiena's life was worth more. Berath went to Llevigar's stables and hired a horse. He jumped up and raced away, towards Light Forest.

    ---

    "Auraja..?"

    "I'm listening"

    "Fiena woke up.. and... err.."

    "Sorry?"

"S-, she... started shouting after... someone.."

    "Who?"

"I.. I d-, don't know who.. b.. but. Cassandra? F.. Fiena said t-, that Cassandra would.. help us"

"Cassandra. Now that's a name I haven't heard in awhile. Did Fiena say anything... Trevor?!", Auraja started, as Trevor collapsed on the floor. Auraja looked with a terrified face on Trevor, knowing that Trevor was carrying the same curse as Fiena. "Everyone! Lock all doors and all ways out of the base. Until Berath comes back, we can not let anyone enter or leave without my permission", she shouted out to The Arisen Patriots. She ordered two patriots to take Trevor to the clinic, and then Auraja went to Myles, who was in the main hall, shouting out orders to patriots. "Myles, I want you to take this teleportation scroll to Llevigar, and find Berath and Malkall and protect them from all danger that may rise for them. What's happening right now does not bode well"

"I thought you said no one could leave.. and aren't teleportation scrolls very magical?", Myles asked.

"Use the teleportation scroll to get out, smarty. I have fixed the scroll, it summons you in a hidden cave outside Llevigar.", Auraja said with a lot of knowledge in her voice. Then Auraja ran off towards the clinic. Myles opened the scroll and vanished in a second.

    ---

Berath was at an odd, large arch in the Light Forest. He was sure Myles and Trevor told him that Malkall's valley was somewhere around the Southern part of Light forest, where the huge arch was at.

"How am I supposed to find the valley when I have absolutely no clue where it is?", Berath asked himself. He opened his bag and looked around in it. "What am I doing? Of course I will find nothing that can help me in this bag", he continued, facepalming himself.

The small, red bird was flying on his daily trip, when he saw a human talking to himself, about a valley and the human was also talking about the red bird's master. Not in a rude way, but in a sympathetic way. The red bird decided to act. It flew towards the human and hit him in the head.

Berath got surprised and turned around. There, two feet away, a red bird was hovering and it was looking at him. It flew towards him and bit him on the nose. Berath slapped away it, and it flew away. Berath pulled up his bow and loaded it with an arrow. He aimed at the red bird, just to realize that it had taken a turn at a tree. He sheathed his bow and started running after the bird.

He was running after the bird for a few minutes, and every time he gave up, the bird came back and picked on him. Berath decided it would be best to follow the bird, maybe it was leading him to somewhere? He had no idea how intelligent the animals in the Light Forest was. After another minute, Berath started seeing the mountains that acted as borders to Wynn. He remembered that the valley entrance was at the mountains, so he looked towards the lower parts of the mountains. When he tried to look after a potential entrance, he got picked on the head again.

"Right, I completely forgot about you", he said as he turned around and shouted out of surprise. There wasn't just a bird there, but another person too.

"Salutations. My bird, Ouisea, told me there was a visitor searching for me. Here I am. What questions do you have for Malkall, Master of the raging Ocean?" Malkall said, with a face blossoming of interest.
Myles was walking towards the giant clock-tower that was located just outside the entrance to Light Forest. He was wondering why Auraja was so keen to send him to protect Berath and Malkall. Myles continued his journey to Malkall’s valley, if he only remembered where it was.

As Myles set his foot inside the forest, he heard other footsteps. He quickly ran to the closest tree and climbed up. He looked down and saw two soldiers from the Superarmy. He muttered and drew his bow, then realized… maybe he should follow them?

“Come, quickly. The soldiers are on their way to exterminate us. However, they do not know where we are!”, Malkall said as he was dragging Berath into a hidden passage. “Pneo argymend”, he said and another entrance opened up. Malkall and Berath hurried in. Berath looked around the valley and he was amazed. There was a giant golden oak in the middle, surrounded by a lot of smaller trees. In front of the golden oak, there was a garden with all sorts of flora.

“It is a bit interesting how my golden oak is the biggest one around, right?”, Malkall asked. “I know you’re a bit curious about why. You see, I enchanted it!”, he continued, with a big grin on his face. He seemed rather proud of his work.

As they were approaching the big tree, birds and other animals came forwards and investigated the new habitant of Malkall’s valley. They were all very interested in the uncommon event. Berath saw one bird that really caught his eye. It was pitch-black; but the eyes hard different colours. The other eye was white, and the other one was green. Berath really liked that bird.

“I call her Nobey. I found her one day with a broken wing, abandoned in the streets of Cinfras. No one came and helped her, it really felt unusual. Back in the days, no animal was left behind. Everyone helped everything, and there was peace, but now… since the Superarmy took place, no one – and nothing – is safe”, Malkall said, with a distinct voice of sadness. "Anyway, you want a cup of tea? I have enough for a whole company!", Malkall added, without the sadness in his voice.

"Actually... I came here to ask for your help. I was recruited by The Arisen Patriots, and one of their members suddenly got cursed, and the leader, Auraja, thought you could help us", Berath started, as Malkall started brewing some tea. "She said you were the only one that could cure this so called curse", he continued as Malkall looked at Berath, with a intrigued face.

"Auraja, you say?", Malkall asked. Berath nodded and Malkall continued. "If the rebellion is led by Auraja, I have no other choice but to help them. She is a close friend after all. But... what kind of curse is this, you say?"

"Fiena, one of the members, she passed out and Auraja saw the symptoms and she also said that she had only seen this curse one time before, but she didn't tell from where"

"Oh yes. The Kavi Curse. Also known as the curse that makes you slowly lose control over your body. You begin to stutter, lose your balance and you have a constant feeling of being observed by someone and eventually you will pass out. If you don't get cured soon enough your soul will fade out into nothingness. There has only been one case of this before, and the only way to get cursed is by a spell that only Mages can learn. Fortunately, I and some close friends, wiped out the only evil Mage that knew the spell. Unfortunately, we have two choices to go from now. Either, the Mage is back, or... someone found the spell again and learned it. But who?", Malkall ranted as he walked around in circles, sipping on his tea.

"How do you know all this? How does Auraja know of the curse?", Berath asked.

"What do you think? I am one of the greatest Mages there is... was. Auraja knows of it because she is one of my only friends that are left", Malkall explained. "What was your name, now again?", he asked.

    "My name is Berath, why?"

"Reasons. Anyway, we should get going, before your friend's soul vanishes. Let me just run upstairs and get the ingredients of the cure!" Malkall said as he went upstairs. Berath decided to go towards the exit of the valley. As he left the tree, he could hear how items rattled upstairs. Berath couldn't believe how much he had gone through the latest days, and the events would just keep coming. As he was approaching the exit, he could hear distinct voices. He hurried towards it to eavesdrop the conversation through the hidden wall.

"Tell us, traitor. Where is the damn entrance?!", someone asked, with a slightly arrogant and rude way of talking.

"I told you I am not certainly sure where it is, and even if I did, I wouldn't tell you. Oh and, I am not the traitor here, you are", someone said. Berath could hear someone hit something and then he heard a high shriek. Berath realized who it was, it was Myles!

"I'm not going to repeat myself, kid. We know you know where the damned Mage is. Now tell us where it is, or else you won't see the sun again!", the soldier told Myles.

"For the last time...", Myles started, but as he was going to continue, a hooded figure came out of nowhere.

"Salutations. I heard you were searching for me. If I'm not wrong, you've been searching for me... the latest twenty years? Is that correct? That's pretty pathetic if you would ask me", the figure said, with a tone of sass in his voice. Myles realized it must be Malkall, The Ocean's Mage. "If I recall correctly, you want to eliminate us herosoldiers because we are in use dark magic, right? Pretty ironic. The Superarmy is stronger than us, and blame us for using this so called dark magic. We all know dark magic is one of the strongest magic sources out there. I believe you are the ones using dark magic", Malkall continued as he quickly swooped his wand right two times and another time to the left, and a giant snake made out of ice appeared and froze the two soldiers. Malkall made another combination with his wand and a ball of fire came down from the sky, blasting the soldiers into pieces.

"That was quite... interesting. I haven't battled in over twenty years, I did not intend to blast them to pieces. I'm so sorry" Malkall said as Berath and Myles looked intrigued on the small pieces of ice laying on the ground. "We should.. get moving. Here, have a teleportation scroll to Ragni", Malkall continued as he gave the two patriots a scroll each.

As Malkall, Berath and Myles reached the Patriots' base, they all felt something was terribly wrong. Myles had forgotten about Trevor, and told Malkall and Berath about it in a haste. Malkall gasped in disbelief and Berath looked surprised. All three of them immediately ran towards the clinic where Auraja was at, trying to nurse Fiena and Trevor.

“Malkall! It wasn’t yesterday!”, Auraja blasted and ran towards Malkall, hugging him tightly. “Where have you been? How have you been?!”, she continued, smiling like she has just seen the sun for the first time in over five years.

“I have been hiding in Gavel, and I have had, surprisingly, a great time. But now is no time to talk about our personal experiences. I will prepare the cure for Fiena and Trevor”, Malkall said as he went to a table and he picked out all the ingredients out of his bag. “Some naga tails from the nagas of the swamps… vampire ash, one dark soul trapped in a bottle, the tail from a werewolf…”, he mumbled while he was checking all his ingredients. “While I do this, will you be so kind and tell me the events that has occurred the past twenty years, Auraja?”, Malkall asked.

“Hmm… as you all know, the four provinces are now being controlled by one government, or should I say, one person. I am sure this one person has an immense power, and that he, or she, can manipulate anyone with ease. Anyway, when the government took over, they forbid all kinds of magic and they eliminated all herosoldiers, as I assume you already know”, she said, and looked at Malkall, who was crushing ingredients in a mortar. He looked at her with a face of betrayal. It looked like Malkall was disappointed in himself that he couldn’t save all the dead soldiers. “Anyway, after The Elimination, the government sent out all their new soldiers out to the cities. Everyone who started a revolt was executed. The government took control by fear. When you, the herosoldiers, were in charge, there was peace and harmony. But soon, there would be hatred and discord. The new government completely wiped out all magic out of the four provinces...", she said, but Malkall abrupted her with a big gasp. "And... well... I guess you could figure out the rest. The Sky Islands fell down into the void", she continued, and started sobbing. Myles and the rest of the patriots that were in the room looked down. Malkall looked at Berath, and Berath saw a tear on Malkall's cheeks.

"The Sky Islands... were the greatest place you could visit in the provinces. Some great Mages accidently destroyed the land, and the islands started flying, and below them, there were only void. It was a harmonic place, and a necessary place for us. It had so much that we were in need of, and now all those things are gone. Completely vanished", Malkall told Berath. Everyone in the room stood quiet. After a while Malkall decided to break the ice."Anyway, I am done with the cure", he said.

Malkall grabbed two cups and poured the cure - which had colours of a newly born sky and a fresh, green apple – into them. He walked slowly towards the unconscious Fiena and Trevor. He asked Berath to hold Fiena’s mouth open and Myles to hold Trevor’s mouth open. Malkall poured the cure in both of their mouths. They waited. They waited minutes for a result. The hope was fading, did Malkall fail the cure? Will Fiena and Trevor die, because of someone cursing them?
    “It’s time to say goodbye"

“Why? I thought you were going to stay for another week”

“So did I, but a friend needs me, and you know I don’t stay at the same place more than two weeks”

“We’re going to miss you. Good luck on your journey. Be careful”

    “I’ve always been”

Berath, Myles and Auraja were sitting at the table discussing which Herosoldier to search for, now that they have found Malkall. Malkall, on the other hand, was in the clinic trying to nurse Fiena and Trevor. All three of them had different ideas on who to get. Berath suggested Coliad, while Myles wanted to get Azril, while Auraja suggested Fuyina.

“We all know Azril is the greatest of them”, Myles told them.

“I think you’re wrong. If we want to reunite them, we need to get Coliad. He’s extremely powerful and he can disguise himself easily, he would help us”, Berath replied.

    “Azril is the greatest, thou-“

“I think we all know Fuyina is the one to get. She can turn invisible, perfect if we need to sneak into a base. She is also known as the most loyal of them. Also, she is an Assassin, isn’t that enough?”, Auraja said.

    "But Azril is the clos-"

"Auraja, not to be rude, but Coliad is a guy... he's probably better at fighting than Fuyina", Berath told Auraja.

    "Guys Azril is coo-"

"Excuse me? Who's the leader here, Berath?", Auraja said and blinked to Berath.

"Guys seriously, Azril was the queen's personal lifeguard, we shou-"

"Shut up Myles", Auraja and Berath told him at the same time.

    "But I-"

"Myles makes a valid point, guys", Malkall said, appearing from nowhere. Auraja, Berath and Myles jumped up by surprisement. "Azril is the closest at the moment. She is also the one that will surely help us without doubt. If I know Fuyina and Coliad correctly, they won't help without some persuading, twenty years alone do make you a bit.. crazy. Just look at me. I have spent all those years socializing with animals! Azril and I were also the queen's greatest friends, so we better go for Azril", Malkall continued, while Auraja and Berath looked at him, with shocked faces. Myles looked up towards Malkall with a smug face. "But Auraja... why do you want to find the other three heroes? I thought you only wanted to find me to cure Fiena and Trevor"

"Actually... I started this rebellion because.. you know why. But now, I feel like the government has been in control for long. You can't even go outside your house without getting checked by guards. It's time for us to start the long awaited war against them Malkall, and we can't do it alone. We are missing three people. Can you guess who?"

"Auraja, no. You mean well, but we cannot do that. The government would know. They would kill us with ease", Malkall said with a sharp tone in his voice.

"We have no choice Malkall. It is kill, or be killed. It is time to find them. That was the first reason for I to send Berath to find you, because you're the most intelligent one of the last herosoldiers. And then Fiena got cursed, so it was urgent for you to come", Auraja told him, with her voice of leadership.

"Are you telling me I am supposed to travel the three other provinces to find some herosoldiers that I am not sure are alive or not?!", Malkall said, with his voice being sharper than Myles' arrows.

"I never said that you were going to get them. Berath seems to be handling all these things pretty well, really. I know he's new, but his loyalty belongs to us. And Malkall, I am pretty sure you know they are still alive. Look at the tiara, their elements are still glowing!", Auraja said while she was plucking up a tiara from Malkall's bag. On it, there were five glowing stones in different colours. On the very left side, there was a yellow topaz, and to the right of it, a peridot gem was sticking out. In the middle, a bright diamond took place. At the right place of the diamond, there were a ruby. The last stone was a sapphire. Berath saw the tiara and he knew he had heard of that tiara before.

"The tiara is broken, Auraja. The diamond is glowing, but the Queen is deceased. I saw her go away with my own eyes"

"I can't explain that. Maybe she isn't dead. Anyway, we should send Berath as soon as possible, but first, I want Fiena and Trevor to recover, if they will"

"Of course, Auraja", Malkall said and left the room with a slight smile on his face.

After one day, Fiena and Trevor woke up. Malkall came to the conclusion that his curing potion's effect had a delay on thirty hours. As Fiena and Trevor got updated from all the events that had happened, Berath was sitting with Malkall in a room that the Arisen Patriots used as storage. Malkall told Berath how to reach the other herosoldiers and whatnot.

"I only know one possible way. It is not going to be with ease, either. You are going to Aldorei Valley, where the elves resides. When there, you will tell them that you want to visit their library. Their library has books about everything. From the smallest quartz history book to the death of great people such as Bob and the Twains. I bet the elves will have information about where the other herosoldiers are. However, they won't help you without some kind of payment..."

    "Emeralds?"

"No, they're not interested in money"

    "A pink pelulite?"

"No, why in the world would we give them that flower?"

    "Th-"

"Actually, Berath. I want you to go there and then see what they have to say. I believe Fiena is going to join you, so you do not need to be alone on your journey to the Western part of Gavel's Light Forest"

Berath and Fiena quickly geared up to venture into Gavel. Berath and Fiena both got new and upgraded armour. Hardened leather armour. Tough and durable, but yet very agile. Berath was equipped with a new, shining steel blade infused with a rare blue quartz and a longbow made out of maple and flax. Fiena was given two obsidian knives enchanted with glowing stones.

It took them a few days to reach Aldorei Valley. two days, five hours, thirty one minutes and seventeen seconds, to be exact. They took a horse carriage to Detlas, and from there they hopped on an airship to Cinfras. From there, they hired two horses and rode to the valley. Whilst there, they got a nasty surprise.
As he went forwards, he finally saw the black top of the dismal and perilous mountain.
He couldn't believe that a woman like her would live in such place. He went closer to the corrupted mountain and felt the vibes of something aggressive. He didn't want to continue but he was sure she was in there.

When he reached the path that would lead to the top, he saw a sign. The sign said only one sentence. One sentence that he did not understand. "Restez à l'écart du monstre à l'intérieur!"

"Sigh, she was always such a peculiar person"

When Berath and Fiena reached Aldorei Valley they were not as welcome as they thought they would be. They knew that they wouldn't be welcome, but they really didn't think it would be like this.

Firstly, when they reached the entrance to the valley, they got arrested for being "government bastards". Fiena tried to explain to them, but to no use. They punched her in the face and she fainted. After that, they took their weapons. Lastly, they threw them into a dark basement that had several skulls of deceased men in it, and a lot of storage trays. Both Berath and Fiena nearly threw up when they felt the smell from the boxes. And on top of that, they could barely see because of the darkness.

"What is that!?", Fiena had just woken up and that was her first three words.

"Eh… I.. I don't know, it smells terribly", Berath claimed.

    "I know that already dum-dum"

"I would open it bu-", Berath started, but when he so did, the door flew up and hit the wall.

"Damnit Loua. I have told you to open the door carefully, next time the door breaks you will have to pay for it", someone said. Berath looked up to the door opening, where he saw a dark silhouette with a lighten up background. "I am sincerely sorry for the hostility we have given you. Let me give you a hand", the mysterious figure said while he stretched out his hand to Berath. The other person that was with him, Loua, gave Fiena his hand. When Berath got used to the light he could see the two people more clearly. Loua, the person who opened the door, was a rather young looking handsome elf with bright blonde hair and dark green eyes. He was not that tall however, as most elves are. Loua wore a simple iron armour set and he had a long sword on his back.

While Berath identified Loua, Fiena had her eyes bonded on the other elf. He was very tall and Fiena nearly started to laugh when she saw that more than half of his body was legs. His tall figure made him look very majestic and gracious though. Fiena thought he was an excellent fighter in the battlefield. He had a bow and a quiver on his back. He also had a small knife sheathed. He wore a chestplate, leggings and a pair of boots made out of pure gold. Fiena knew that making armour out of gold is extremely bad and she thought that this was just to show his prestige. His helmet was made out of diamond although. She could see that his hair was brown. She thought this was a higher ranked elf. Her theory was correct, too.

”As I said, I am sorry for the hostility. I am Admiral Woba. I am in control of Aldorei's army. We thought you two were soldiers of the Superarmy so we decided to lock you in. When we looked again we saw that you were too puny to be mistaken for soldiers. Who goes around with leather armour these days?"

"Admiral, maybe we should bring them to the Sol Embassy and interview them. They could be spies. I have already asked the court to assemble", Loua said.

"Recruit Loua, I think you are right. Please follow me, and don't try anything, I am incredibly fast with my bow", the Admiral said.

"So am I with my knives", Fiena said under her breath. Luckily for her, no one heard her.

As the Admiral and his recruit walked through Aldorei with Berath and Fiena, Berath saw that a lot of elves looked at him and Fiena. She told him that the elves weren't used to having visitors, or hostages, for that part. When they reached what Loua said was the Sol Embassy, Berath became nervous. Fiend asked him to calm down, and that there was nothing to worry about, since they actually weren't from the Superarmy.

The Sol Embassy looked like a huge palace made out of wood and the roof was made out of something green, Berath couldn't really tell. When they entered, there was a long corridor with yellow pillars and walls with murals of elves fighting with something that looked like corrupted creatures.

"They're fighting against creatures that have been caused with the decay. The decay is no longer around as the old herosoldiers got rid of it, but the government somehow got everyone to believe that they got rid of the decay, and not the old army", Fiena said as she saw that Berath looked on the murals. "If you look closely, you can see that there are some herosoldiers in the murals. The elves has a huge respect for the old soldiers", she continued.

"We're here. If you do anything stupid, you won't see the sun tomorrow", the Admiral said out of nowhere.

The recruit, Loua, stayed in the corridor to guard while Fiena and Berath walked in behind Admiral Woba. Berath was surprised when he saw the courtroom and Fiena was so overwhelmed she fainted. Woba looked back at her, and called on two guards that carried her away.

"Looks like you will have to do this alone", he told Berath. Berath giggled when he remembered that Fiena told him for just a few minutes ago to act chill.

Berath looked around. The courtroom was shaped like a half moon, and in the middle there was a small circle for the victims - Berath in this case - to stand and answer questions given. Around the circle, there were a lot, and a lot, of chairs for people to sit in. Right now there were only five people sitting in there. In the middle to be exact. All of them wore boring white clothes.

"We are going to ask you several questions, mister. We want you to answer as truthfully as possible, and do not attempt to lie", said the one in the middle. It was a female elf with hair as white as the newest clouds. "Now please tell us, what is your full name?"

"It's.. Berath. Berath Whiteblade", he said, and got shocked on how the judges reacted.

"Give us a minute. Admiral Woba, will you be so kind and take this young human out?", the elf with the whitest hair said.

"Of course, Justiciary Dia", he said and led Berath outside.

Berath waited and waited. While he was waiting, Admiral Woba gave him some water. "To make you less nervous", he had said. He counted to five minutes... seven minutes.. and eventually he lost track of the time. After what felt like an eternity, Fiena came and apologized for fainting. Berath told her everything that happened and she reacted the same way the judges did.

"Oh dear... Berath..", she didn't say more as one of the judges opened the door and told them to come in.

They walked in and Berath suddenly felt a wave of nervosity flowing over him. What were they going to do now?

"Mr Whiteblade. Are you in company of The Arisen Patriots at the time being?", the elf said that Woba called Justiciary Dia. "Be honest"

    "Yes, I am"

"Is your escort here the wannabe-Assassin Fiena Dalebow?", she continued. She wasn't as formal as she was before.

"How-what-wait-who-how-did-you- I mean, yes, she is", Berath said and looked at Fiena. Fiena had raised her left eyebrow.

"That's.. great news. The four provinces are finally going somewhere. Berath and Fiena, be welcomed to Aldorei! Anything you need, we will give you. Patriots are always welcome here", Justiciary Dia said.

"Wait", Fiena said suddenly. "How do you know we are not sent by the Superarmy?"

"Because I gave Berath a sip of Veritaserum before. He couldn't of have lied", Admiral Woba claimed. Everyone looked at him, and Berath didn't say anything, but he swore that he would get his revenge on Woba.

"Well, we would need access to the library", Fiena said.

While inside the library, they started to look for clues that could lead them to where the other herosoldiers could be. They found a book named "Fantastic Wybels and where to find them", and another one, named "Siegfried, reality or fiction?", and another one that both Berath and Fiena stared at with surprised faces. ”The assault of the Wynnic Queen”.

”We should read this, it may have some information regarding the herosoldiers, Berath”, Fiena said. Berath agreed, and they went to a closed off room. They opened the book, and got shocked, as there was no pages in it, but inside, there were a weapon.

It was a small dagger, emitting a bright, white light, reminding him of snow. The blade was made out of a blue and white material and the hilt, that was made out of some hard wood, was bound up with a light brown leather strap. When he gripped it, he suddenly felt wind blow past him, and his head felt cleared of all thought. Berath looked at the weapon again, and saw an engraving on the blade.

Belongs to only a true Whiteblade.

Due to the max character amount, I will have to post the chapters in the comments below, but I will link them in the spoiler section with the chapters above.

Auraja, the leader of The Arisen Patriots, kept walking around in circles in her office. She was worrying about Berath and Fiena, when Malkall entered.

”Oh Malkall. I am so worried. I am filled with so many thoughts. When Fiena was cursed, she woke up and told Trevor about Cassandra. She said that she could help us”

    ”Cassandra? I thought..”

”Yes. I thought so too, but signs are telling us that she is still here”

”How are we going to find her, though?”

”We’ll see. What I do know is that we, will, find her”

Coliad, the Archer sent from Hell, entered the mountain, as he was shouting after Fuyina, Master of Thunder.

“Fuyina? I.. I know you’re here. It... It’s obvious. No one wants to enter the huge... b-, black, corrupted De-, Dernic mountain. Even I had some.. slight problems entering. I think it’s some kind of…”, Coliad took a pause, catching his breath. “Dark aura. As it is.. Corruption. How did you.. how did you manage to break through? This is.. some scary shit. I... I think Malkall would know more of this than I”, Coliad said, trying to sound as cool as possible. What he didn’t realize was that he stuttered and he was genuinely scared.

Coliad managed to get going, whilst looking around him for eventual traps or enemies. Coliad wasn’t used to being this scared, he’s supposed to be the Archer without fears. But the cave he was in.. was nothing like he had seen before. It was pitch-black and if it weren’t for his arrows - the points of his arrows are always covered in fire - he wouldn’t see a thing. It was like the void. Draining all emotions and feelings out of the body while you could do nothing but stand and watch while you get corrupted from the inside out.

“Okay.. focus. Don’t let the corruption take over..”, Coliad mumbled to himself, wondering how Fuyina kept all the corruption out. Malkall and the Queen had once been on an adventure in the province of Corkus and there they had found a book about the Dernic corruption. Coliad hadn’t really paid attention to their lecture about the book, all he remembers about it was something about thinking of the happiest memory one has. “I really need to start pay attention to the future lectures.. if I’ll ever get any”, he continued. Coliad started to think of his happiest memory, and he suddenly felt way more clear. He continued through the tunnels when he suddenly heard a screeching, ice-cold voice.

Go away! Leave this mountain or else the corruption will take over your body!”, the voice said, with a cold voice, but somewhere in it, Coliad could hear another voice. The voice from a friend he hasn't spoken to in over twenty years.

“Fuyina? It’s me, your pal. Your.. your Coaly”, Coliad said, trying to communicate with Fuyina, and to be able to find her. He was a bit mad at her for picking a cave with hundreds of tunnels. He was certain she had hidden traps in the cave, therefore he only wanted to take the right paths.

Who’s... Coaly?! Friend? Or Fiend?”, Fuyina said, at least Coliad thought it was her. “I have never heard of someone named… Coaly. It’s a pathetic name, if you would ask me”, she continued. Coliad got shocked and filled with depressive thoughts. My closest friend doesn’t even remember me, Coliad thought.

“But.. I.. I’m Coliad, we were.. bestest of friends.. yes, twenty years of isolation can make you a bit weird in the head, but it’s outrageous that you… that you don’t even remember me!”, Coliad burst out, before sitting down in the dark cave and sob. “She… she’s been infected by the corruption and..”, he said through the tears. “She.. all her memories.. wiped off, just like that”, he continued, whispering, to himself. As he was crying, he suddenly stood up, and dried his tears.

“No. I can’t give up now. There is a way to get rid of the corruption from a person. A whole province is hard, but one, single, person. It’s possible, I just have to remind her of all the memories”, he said, looking towards the two tunnels filled with darkness splitting from the tunnel he was currently in.

    ---

“Fuyina! Can you hear me?!”, Fuyina heard him shout. “I know you’re stuck in that corrupted body, and I know you can cleanse it!”, he continued. Fuyina almost giggled, as she knew that Coliad was just speaking to a trap of hers. She smiled, and started running around in her small room, packing her stuff. The time had come to finally escape the mountain that had almost corrupted her.

“Think of all the things we did together!”, she heard him shout. She wanted to respond, but he wouldn’t hear her if she shouted back to him. She had been stuck in this mountain for twenty years, it would have been less if she knew how to navigate through the cavern. She has been stuck in the same mountain for twenty years, without seeing the sunlight.

“I.. I’m afraid”, she whispered, as she started to realize she hasn’t seen the sunlight, and that she’s seriously ill. “I can’t resist it anymore… I waited, for too long”, Fuyina continued with her last moments of consciousness. Her last thought was hoping Coliad didn’t end up corrupted, like her.

    ---

Leave, now!”, Fuyina shouted. Coliad was not going to give up. He kept going through the cave system, looking for any potential entrance to Fuyina’s hideout. He was going to cure her from the corruption within. “I warned you, back off! There’s a monster here you don’t want to deal with”, she continued with her voice of ice. Coliad got frightened. What monster? He became nervous and looked around in the voidfilled cavern for signs of a monster. He didn’t hear anything, everything was silent. If he would describe the cave with two words, it would be silent and pitchblack.

He continued, fearing for his life, while he was looking for Fuyina. He had absolutely no idea on how she could navigate through this system, it’s just tunnels after tunnels, and darkness after darkness. He was just about to take a break, when he heard a sound. Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop. A source of water. He followed the sound of the water. Drip. It started to get louder, and he was getting his hopes up. Drop. Drip. He started running and reached the source of the sound. He looked down and saw that he was standing in a pool of water. He looked up and saw nothing, but felt water dripping on his face. He pulled out his bow, picked an arrow and aimed towards the ceiling of the cavern. He released and the arrow on fire flew away and hit the ceiling. He saw a crack in it that was leading downwards via the wall. He picked another arrow from his quiver and used it as a torch. He saw a huge crack in the wall, and decided to blow it up. He loaded his bow with an arrow and aimed against the wall. He swooped his bow to the left once and then right two times and a bomb arrow released from the bow, hitting the wall and exploding. Fhew! A wave of water came from the hole and left him wet. Coliad entered the hole he had made… and then he fell.

When Coliad woke up again from the fall, he looked around him and saw a small room with lots and lots of crates of food, a bed, a table, and some other stuff. He looked up and could barely see the hole from the fall. He was sure he could escape the cave with an escape spell. Before that, he decided to search for Fuyina, he was sure she was there somewhere.

“Fuyina? Are you there?”, he asked.

Oh, if it isn’t you. The intruder to my mountain. I am shocked that you actually found a way to my keep”, he heard. It was the voice he knew belonged to Fuyina, but this time it didn’t sound like it was just an echo, this time it was close to him. “Now die!

Coliad looked around and saw several corrupted spiders crawling against him. The spiders acted quickly, and so did Coliad. He picked up his bow and made a combination of left, right and then left again and out bursted sixty arrows on fire against the crawling spiders and all of them lied dead on the ground. More spiders appeared and he fired several bombs against them and they fell dead too.

Ugh, spiders are pathetic. Might as well send some other of my creations against you

From the dark corners of the room, corrupted zombies emerged and sprinted right towards Coliad. He was prepared. He quickly performed an escape spell and jumped high up in the cave. While doing this, he summoned another arrow storm and let hell rain down on the zombies. He landed gracefully and looked around. He saw one zombie still crawling towards him. He walked up to the zombie, gave it a pat, and then kicked it. He walked back to the middle of the room and started talking to his corrupted friend.

“Fuyina! This is worthless. I know you’re hiding somewhere in this room, as your corrupted form. I know you can cleanse yourself. Just think of all your happy memories, and the corruption will fade away!”, he shouted.

The only thing that will fade away here is you!”, the eerie voice screamed, and out of nowhere his friend popped up at the front of him. (“Darn it, I forgot she could vanish”, Coliad said to himself) During the few milliseconds he saw her, he could see that her green eyes were not green anymore, but red. Her overall figure had blackened due to the corruption. Fuyina swooped her dagger to the right and then left two times, and started hitting Coliad multiple times. He could feel the hits slamming his body, it felt as all the hits hit him at the same time and at the last hit, she threw him across the room and he hit the wall. When he looked up he saw three smoke bombs coming towards him, and a second after he couldn’t see a thing. All this happened during just five seconds.

Are you ready for your final breath?

“Never”, Coliad said and quickly made an escape spell and jumped away from the wall of smoke. Whilst flying over the smoke he saw Fuyina running towards the wall with her dagger drawn. She ran into the wall and stabbed it instead of Coliad. He landed behind the smoke, and it disappeared. “Come on, Fuyina. I always beat you at duels. I know you’re inside that body. As Malkall said, the corruption attacks the body, not the soul!”

Just shut up already. We both know corruption is the most powerful magic”, Fuyina said when Coliad saw her vanishing. Not this time, he said to himself. He made a new combination consisting of putting the bow left two times and then right one time. Eight shields appeared from the ground and started circling around Coliad, preventing any damage on him. He could hear something run into the shields and then get knocked back, and also get hit by the arrow rain that was summoned by the shields. He looked back and saw that two of the shields had been destroyed by the hit. He looked even further back and saw the corrupted Fuyina lying against the wall. He quickly rushed towards her and grabbed her.

“You listen on me. I am in charge now, and I command you to leave Fuyina’s body!”, Coliad roared at her body. “Or else I will make sure to tear down this mountain stone by stone if that’s the case. If you won’t leave I am sure she will drag you out of it, because I know that Fuyina is stronger than you. She is still inside that body, and I know that she can break free whenever she wants! You are just a demon that is only strong by feeding from others, and I will make hell rain upon you!”, he kept shouting with an extreme aggressive tone. He would do anything right now to get his friend back, and he was tired of fighting. “Just, let her go!”, he yelled. He broke down mentally and started sobbing against her unconsciousness body.

    ---

Fuyina was fighting inside her own body to get released. She bitterly regret that she even let this small corruption slide into her body, and whilst her body fought against Coliad, she was fighting against herself. When Coliad’s arrow shield hit her she felt a strong urge to make some more resistance against the corruption and she succeeded to break free. When she hit the wall she fainted. When she woke up she could feel Coliad sobbing against her body.

“Coliad. I think it’s time to leave this wicked place”, she said, before hugging Coliad tight.
She was sitting on her chair, humming old songs she used to sing at the taverns on late evenings. She grabbed a bracelet (With a topaz, a peridot, a diamond, a ruby and a sapphire) from the table, and she saw that the topaz and the ruby were shining unusually bright.

“It’s finally happening. I’m glad. I got to tell the others”, she said to herself as she started running down the tower to the mead hall, where she expected happiness and drunk people, but instead she saw her friends fight against the Superarmy.

    They had found her.

A day after that Berath and Fiena had found the dagger, Auraja and Malkall came to the valley, leaving the Arisen Patriots alone, in the defense of Myles and Trevor. Berath and Fiena had sent an owl with the news about the elves welcoming and the dagger, and they had come in a haste.

“You found a dagger, but no information regarding Azril’s hideabouts?”, Malkall asked Berath calmly.

“Eh, not really… we did find a book however with information about the origins from all soldiers… it said that Archers came from Fruma, Warriors from Wynn..”

“We already know that, Berath. Thanks anyway”, Malkall interrupted him. “If we want to find Azril, we better hurry up, I.. her gemstone doesn’t shine that bright. Something isn’t right”, he said to Auraja, when Berath and Fiena went back to the library. Malkall didn’t want them to know too much information about the tiara. “Oh and, Auraja… when do we tell him?”

“Not today. He is not ready, neither am I”, she said to Malkall. Auraja walked off to a bench, to enjoy the sun’s rays. She looked up at the sky, and asked herself how they would fight the Superarmy. There were so many questions going around in her head. The mystery about Cassandra, the gemstones on the tiara, the dagger that Berath had found.. everything was going along just fine for twenty years till Berath came along. Then all sorts of things started happening. The Kavi Curse’s return, Malkall coming back, the finding of the dagger. Auraja’s head was filled with so many thoughts she got a painful headache.

“I know it is a lot to take in right now, Auraja”, someone said. Auraja looked back and saw it was Admiral Woba. He was one of Aldorei Valley’s importantest elves. He was in charge of the military. “Sometimes, all you gotta do, is to chill out. It might sound hard, but just, go somewhere excluded from the community and take a moment for yourself”, he said to her, and then he walked off.

Auraja did as he said. She walked away from the town in the valley and went into a forest secluded from the others, and sat down. She breathed. Slowly, and steadily. She took each thing in her head and removed them slowly. Cassandra’s mystery, gone. The gemstones, gone. The dagger, gone. The Kavi Curse, gone. When she had removed all the thoughts, they came back like an arrow storm.

“Wait, if all gemstones glow, it means all five are still alive, and that means that Cassandra never really passed away, but who was it that died? And the Kavi Curse… last time it killed a person and then the herosoldiers rid of it. Just after that incident, they got hunted down and slaughtered like pigs. Wait wait wait. The Kavi Curse struck a person and killed it, then the herosoldiers wiped off the evil wizard, and then they all died. When Berath came back, Fiena and Trevor both got targeted, but neither of them died, as Malkall came. Was the curse meant for him? There is something missing here. Malkall said he saw Cassandra pass away. Ugh, Woba’s advice was awful!”, she said, whilst remembering there is something she can’t get on her tongue.

When she was still thinking, she noticed that the winds picked up. She grew alert, only to be relieved to see Berath and Fiena coming towards her.

“Hey! What are you doing here?”, she shouted against them in the wind.

“H-”, the two replied, interrupted by the fierce winds that now disrupted the forest.

    “What’s going on?”, Berath yelled.

“I don’t know!”, Auraja shouted. “The winds started to pick up when you started to return, we might be in for some heavy weather!”

“Eh, are you sure we aren’t under attack?”

“Don’t worry, Berath, it’s fine. This wind can only be caused by Malkall or forces t-that died l-long ago”, she said, stuttering the last couple words. Fiena seemed worried at the sudden stutter. Fiena encouraged them to go back to the library before the winds got any stronger.

When they all were inside the big library again, they heard the storm raging on outside. Malkall went outside to try to calm it down with some spells while the rest kept searching for a book about Azril’s hideout. Suddenly a window broke and they got attacked by the wind. It blew out several books from the bookcases and when Fiena ran forwards to block the window, she heard everyone in the back gasping loudly.

One of the books that had been blown out of the bookcase, was hovering in the air. It moved against Berath, and then suddenly it accelerated and flew right into his face. The book fell on the floor, and Berath picked it up. He opened it up and started reading.

“Eh, I think I found the locations of the herosoldiers, guys”, he said, as everyone approached him. He started reading out loud. “The book is named Peculiar locations and inside, there’s only a map”, Berath told them.

“A map?!”, Malkall bursted out. He had just ran in from the outside storm. He grabbed the map out of Berath’s hands and looked at it. “We… we can finally find the rest of them”, he said. “Look at this! There is one dot, in Wynn. It must be Azril. And then we have two dots at Dern. That must mean that Coliad and Fuyina is reunited. I am happy for them. And then I have me at Aldorei. But.. I can’t find the Queen, she should be on the map if she’s still alive”

“That’s odd. At least we know the others are alive and well”, Auraja replied.

“Don’t be so sure, dear. If you look closely at the map, you can see that the dots are different colours, depending on what element they have. Azril’s is green, Coliad’s is red, Fuyina’s is yellow and mine is blue. They also shine, just like on the tiara. The more they shine, the safer and closer to each other they are. Look at Coliad’s and Fuyina’s, theirs haven’t shine that much since we split up twenty years ago. Now look at Azril’s. It’s barely shining at all”

“Well then. That settles it”, Auraja claimed. “We’re heading to Wynn, to rescue Azril. Right now.”
Coliad and Fuyina, once reunited, walked down a path towards Wynn. They had both seen on their rings that Azril’s gemstone wasn’t shining as much as it did. As they walked, they talked about everything that had happened during the last twenty years.

“I can’t believe that twenty years have past, I wonder how corrupt the government is now”, Fuyina said.

“Yeah, and also, have you seen Cassandra’s stone? It has been shining all these years”, Coliad replied. They both looked at the diamond and grumbled over it.

“Let, me, go!”, Azril shouted at the soldiers that had captured her. She couldn’t believe that when she saw her friends getting killed, she just stood there, without doing anything. She blames herself for leaving all her items in her tower, with no ability to fight against the soldiers. “Why don’t you just kill me?! Don’t you want me dead?”, she yelled at them.

“Our boss wants to see you, the boss wants us to deliver all the last hersoldiers to him before getting rid of you. Now if you only shut up and let us go to Troms without any problems”, one of the soldiers told her. Azril looked back and saw that there were at least a hundred of soldiers, all way more powerful than her alone. She could take on two of them, but a hundred… impossible. She knew that this was her last day, and the chance of getting rescued was slim.

After a few minutes of walking, she saw that they were going through the Pigmen Ravine. A perfect place for an army to get ambushed, but as the Superarmy had no big enemies, except for the Arisen Patriots (and Azril's own little army, but as the Superarmy slaughtered them all...) , they didn’t have to worry about an ambush. Azril looked down to the ground and gave up. In the matter of two hours she would be standing before her doom.

    ---

Auraja, Berath, Malkall and the three recruiters from the Patriots was running on the fields outside Ragni disguised as villagers. Malkall was holding the map while they were sprinting, and told them that Azril was in the Pigmen Ravine. Malkall and Auraja cheered, as they both knew that the ravine was a perfect place for them to cause an earthquake and crush their enemies.

“If you all would follow me, that would be great. I know a way up to the very top of the ravines, where we can ambush them, and save Azril”, Malkall told them. They all followed him up to the top where the winds were howling. “It isn’t the most friendliest places of them all, but at least we can attack them, but they can’t attack us”, he continued. They walked around the top, looking down at the soldiers that have captured Azril. A bit ahead they found some loose rocks that would be perfect to smash down.

“Before we do anything, I have a question!”, Trevor said suddenly. “If we’re going to cause an earthquake, how are we going to warn Azril?”, he asked. Everyone looked at him, and no one came with an answer. “That’s what I thought. Well, I think I have the solution. Warriors, such as Azril, used a war scream to attack fiends, but they could also be used to protect friends. It could also be used as a warning signal”, he said and blinked to them with an eye.

“Well that would be great, but the only known warrior around here is Azril”, Myles said.

“Heh, I’ve actually trained and I know the basics of it”, Trevor told him and laughed. “Just as you have trained on the basic spells of the Archers, and Fiena the basics of being an Assassin, I have trained on the Warrior’s abilities. I can warn Azril from the earthquake”, Trevor continued. He looked around on his friends and saw them nodding. “I guess I will do it then”, he said.

    ---

“I have forgotten how long the path to Troms through this ravine is”, a soldier to the right of Azril said. She looked at him, rolled her eyes and sighed. She was just about to tell them that they have gone lost, when she heard the war scream. It wasn’t strong, but strong enough to hear it. She looked around and saw all the confused soldiers, and then Azril looked up and saw a meteor coming straight at them. The meteor crashed down on ten soldiers and then she heard something rumbling from above, and it was raining huge boulders of stones. Azril prepared herself. She jumped up and kicked two of the soldiers guarding her, grabbing a spear from one of them. She charged away with the help of her charge spell. When she landed on the ground again, she looked back and saw several soldiers trying to charge at her. She ran forwards and performed a combination of right, left and then right again and bashed the soldiers. They got knocked back and flew right into the chaos of the earthquake. After just one minute of chaos, one hundred soldiers from the Superarmy had been defeated. Azril looked up once again, to see six people looking down upon her, smiling, and waving their hands. She only recognised one of them, and it was Malkall.

Malkall quickly teleported down to Azril while the five others took the path down. Malkall walked briskly to Azril and they both hugged.

“Malkall, you don’t look a day above your sixties!”, Azril laughed. Malkall jokingly hit her and she hit him back, and they both started laughing. Malkall quickly calmed down and started discussing with everything that had happened with Azril. They started walking toward the other five. Malkall introduced them to each other and Trevor ran forwards and shook Azril’s hands and told her that he was a “great admirer of all her work”. She thanked him and asked him if he was the one who warned her. Trevor and Azril started talking about the perks of being a Warrior while Malkall and the rest plucked up the map.

“Okay good. Now we only need to find Fuyina and Coliad, and it won’t be hard as they currently just entered the province. But first, I think we should head back to where Azril lived and get all her stuff”, Malkall said. They began walking off to the residence of Azril, while Auraja told about everything that had happened for Azril.

    ---

The huge pile of stones started shaking. Suddenly the boulders exploded into thousands of smaller stones and scattered across the place. From the piles, a few soldiers arose. They looked around, looking for something.

“How could we let that happen?”, one of them asked.

“How did it happen, is the question”, another one replied.

“I think they got help from another herosoldier. I think they’re reassembling. I think it’s time to train our troops. Go to the boss, I will take care of the so called herosoldiers. They took us by surprise, now it’s my turn to take them by surprise.”, the third soldier said. She looked at the two others, nodded, and turned around, taking the same route as the patriots did. She would avenge her army.

    ---

“I think I’ve got all my stuff now!”, they heard Azril shout from the top of the tower. They could heard clatter and rumbling above, and suddenly they saw Azril rolling down the stairs. When she landed she started giggling. “I’m sorry, I’m just so excited about doing something for the first time in an eternity!”, she said while picking all her items up from the ground. Trevor quickly ran up to her to help her, while Malkall turned around to Auraja. Myles was at the mead hall with Berath, to discuss something urgent, and Fiena was playing with her knife inside the mead hall.

“I just can’t seem to understand how she is excited for this. Our reunion means nothing more than us getting chased once again. I bitterly regret even accepting joining you, I have put all of us in danger”, Malkall said quietly to Auraja. “Do you understand that we are dealing with forces created from darkness itself? I don’t think that the soldiers we crushed with the boulders are dead”, he continued.

“Malkall, my dear. It was I who put all of you in danger. It was I who sent Berath to get you. Do not put the responsibility on you for something you’re not responsible for. But yes, I am fully aware that we are in grave danger but who cares when you have nothing else to lose? We either start doing something, or we can spend another twenty years of waiting for… what? To be honest I don’t know what you have been waiting for. For them to find you?”, Auraja replied briskly.

“I… I intended to do nothing. I was afraid. I was hiding. I was too shameful that we got taken by surprise. I did not want to think of what happened. I wanted to start off fresh. I never wanted to deal with this again”, Malkall told her, with tears in his eyes. Auraja realized that she might of have been too rude, and apologized. “We should get going to our base”, she continued, to change the subject.

“Get going to your base?”, someone suddenly said. “I won’t let you leave this place, unless you’re dead.” Azril, Malkall, Auraja and Trevor turned around to see a hostile-looking woman with short, red-spiked hair. She had an enchanted black armour and looked generally intimidating. “You have committed crimes against the provinces and you will suffer a painful death, caused by me.”
Hah, you really thought so? You will have to wait a bit longer to read this one.
A carriage driven by horses was on its way to the city of Ragni through a furious snowstorm. The carriage driver was mumbling to himself, asking himself why the Queen would ask him to deliver these four packages on this particular day. He looked at the four packages. There was a long, rectangular red package, and one small yellow cube-looking package, the other two packages were big and rectangular, but the other one was blue and the last one was green. He wondered what it could be, because the packages appeared to be glowing.

“Azril Aufidela. Coliad Iriasty. Fuyina Trobinus. Malkall Eaumine. You might be wondering why I called all of you here today”, Queen Cassandra said. The four herosoldiers nodded. They were standing in the library of Ragni, all alone without any visitors. There were small candles here and there. “You see, I’ve kept a keen eye on all four of you, and you have all done outstanding work in defending the four provinces and Corkus from potential enemies and traitors. It is with my pleasure that you will all receive medals of honour tomorrow for your services, at Christmas Eve. It is going to be a splendid celebration of this year’s winter”, she took a pause to look at the four shocked herosoldiers. These herosoldiers have never met each other, and now they’re all important roles in defending the provinces. “I will ask you to change duty from your current regions to here. All four of you, as my personal lifeguards and maybe, my friends”, she looked around at them, and sighed. “You see, a life of a Queen can get a bit harsh. Before, I was a plain princess, and I could almost do whatever I wanted. I had friends and life was fun. But when my father passed away and I took his crown, all I could do was sit and wave to the villagers. Nothing really happens here at Ragni, except for zombie swarms but they won’t let me attend them. Well anyway, back to the subject”, she continued and looked at the confused soldiers. “I want people that I can relate to, and as nothing really happens here you can live the life of your dreams! So, what do you say? Would you like a promotion?”

“Oh, well. This came as a shock, really. But as you really want us to, I’ll gladly become your lifeguard, your majesty!”, Azril said cheerfully, slightly confused.

“I was expecting this. I mean, I am aware that I am only the greatest Mage of them all. I have studied for years and finally my hard work pays off. I accept the promotion”, Malkall replied.

“Madam, I don’t see why I of all Archers should get promoted to this position? I started as a simple pyromaniac and then I decided to join the army and then I became a pyromaniac Archer, which we all know are the worst. You might want one of those Airchers”, Coliad said. He didn’t sound too happy about Cassandra’s decision.

“An Aircher are those Archers with the air element, for those of you wondering.”, Malkall said quickly before anyone else got to say anything.

“None of us asked, Malcolm-whatever-your-name-is but thanks anyway”, Fuyina said ironically. “I’m flattered, your majesty. This is a great chance to go further in our carriers and I accept”, she said, sounding kinder than she did before.

“Coliad, do you know why just you were the one I picked?”, Cassandra asked.

“No, I do not, your highness”, he replied.

“Because you are unique. I do not want the strongest but the most loyal and interesting”, she said. Everyone of them got a bit confused as Malkall is a water-based mage, and Fuyina is based on the thunder element, and Azril on earth. They didn’t question her, however. Cassandra continued with her small speech.

“This is great news anyway! I’m happy you accept my promotion and I will immediately tell the rest of the government about our four new members in my personal guard force. Please stay here for a while and get to talking. I know all of you personally but you don’t know each other, so get bonding!”, Cassandra said before walking out from the library. Azril, Coliad, Fuyina and Malkall were now standing quiet in the library, all confused about how all this happened so fast. Also, as they all knew, there is a rivalry between the different classes of the herosoldiers, and therefore the different classes never speaks to each other.

    ---

“Your Majesty, is this really the wisest choice?”, the Admiral said.

“Yes, it is. I am aware that there will be a war soon enough, and we will need the greatest soldiers at Ragni, and those soldiers are these four.”, Cassandra said and started walking around in circles, mumbling. “It’s a bit, what would you say, spontaneous of me to make such an action, but the seer said it was the thing to do. I trust her completely.”, she said before walking off. She was heading to the seer.

    ---

He heard a knock on the door and the Queen of Wynn entered his hut.

“Cassandra. I am thrilled to see you here. What brings you here, actually?”, he asked.

“Elijah, I still don’t quite understand why you told me to bring these four herosoldiers here. There must be a reason that isn’t the war”, she told him.

“I am perpetually watching over the future of Ragni, my dear, and I just recently saw great things. Great things yes, but horrible. It is said in the stars that Ragni will suffer from the worst swarm of zombies tomorrow, at Christmas Eve. It is also said that it is the last day of Ragni’s days of power. But I know that there are four people who are able to stop the swarm and save Ragni. The thing is, I have failed to see what happens after the swarm. I can’t get a grip of the future, which makes me think they will fail. I think they have to work together, as friends, and if they fail to do so, Ragni will end. The soldiers you have brought here today are not friends at the time being, and I fear they will not befriend each other in time for tomorrow. You have to help them Cassandra, you only have a day”, he told here.

“But, how come you are able to know of the war?”, Cassandra asked shocked.

“That is not the future of Ragni, but the future of Wynn as a province. There will be a war soon, but I do not know exactly when. All I know is that this war will affect all provinces. Actually, there are things that have been hidden from me, your majesty. There is something blocking my foresighting. Sometimes I only get vague visions that are not reliable. I want to know why. Anyway, I want you to go back to the four and make them befriend each other. You can’t tell them of tomorrow, under any circumstances. Understood?”, he continued.

“Yes, Elijah. Thank you. I am thankful for having you as a seer. You’re really wise and you will always do the correct decisions in the end”, Cassandra said lightly and walked out into the snowstorm.

“Yes, the right things”, he said as a teardrop ran down his cheeks.
“Thank you for the packages, they will surely be helpful”, Cassandra told the carriage driver. He nodded and bowed for her and drove away again. “I’m surprised no one mugged him, these are worth a lot”, she said to herself. She entered the library where the four herosoldiers Azril, Coliad, Fuyina and Malkall were standing, waiting for her.

“Today’s the day, my friends. This is a personal gift from me to you, and later tonight you will receive the medals of honours, for all your services. Approach me and get your presents!”, Cassandra exclaimed ecstatically. This would be the best day of her life.

The four herosoldiers went forwards and grabbed their corresponding package. Azril grabbed the green package with happiness, Coliad took the red one, he was still in doubt from the past day, Fuyina carefully grabbed the small yellow package and Malkall went forward with confidence and grabbed the blue one. They all opened their packages and gave away gasps of astonishment.

“These are weapons that are Myths to normal folks. There is only one of them each and they’re all unique in their own way. They are bound to help you become stronger with your element of preference. My greatest Identifier have identified them as good as possible, they’re basically the best for you”, Cassandra told them. Malkall looked down at his long, blue staff with a flying orb at the top.

“This is Lament, is it not?”, Malkall asked her. She nodded and looked at all the others. Azril had received a huge and heavy hammer, Fuyina got a lightweight claw and Coliad received a chunky bow with a burning string that never seemed to go out.

“Azril Aufidela, I will grant you the hammer called Alkatraz. It will boost your damage in the element of earth. It is so powerful it may sometimes blow your enemies away. However, as it is pretty heavy you will be slowed down”, Cassandra said and looked at Azril. “As for you, Fuyina Trobinus, you’ve received Cataclysm. You will be able to hit your future enemies with an extraordinary speed as the weapon is designed to be lightweighted. The damage is unreliable though, it may go from low to very high. This weapon will grant you the power to walk faster than usual. However, it will make you more vulnerable to enemies. Although, I don’t think it will be a problem for you. I have seen your great skills in combat”, Cassandra told Fuyina. Fuyina was admiring her new weapon.

“This is way better than my old rusty copper knife!”, she said and laughed. “Oh boy, how I’m bad at finding items. Thank you!”

“Malkall Eaumine. Some people call you the Ocean’s Mage, and now there’s another reason for them to call you this. I’m giving you, Lament. It’s the most powerful water wand there is out there, I don’t think I have to say anything else”, she said and brushed it off. Malkall was disappointed for not getting an in-depth description of it. “And Coliad Iriasty. You have also received fireproof gloves as no mortal man can hold this weapon without getting burns. It’s immensely powerful. It’s Ignis, a bow that some say is purely made out of fire. It greatly increases your defense against all elements and makes you recover faster from damages you may suffer from. You will basically be the group’s tank with this bow. There isn’t a downside with this weapon either, it’s all just positives!”, Cassandra exclaimed.

“Soo… can we, like, go to the training camp and test out our weapons, your majesty?”, Coliad replied.

“Heavens no! These are way too powerful, they would destroy the camp. I think you will have to test them on actual enemies, when you get the chance”, she said. Everyone looked worried at their weapons, imagining the destruction they may offer. “But it’s nothing you can’t handle, learning to know these weapons will be a piece of cake for you. What you need to do is to learn to know each other!”, she continued and smiled to them, and then she left the room.

    ---

The evening was closing in, and the four herosoldiers - who had spent the whole day together, eating together and telling stories of their adventures - were about to attend the ceremony Cassandra had prepared. They brought their weapons to the ceremony also, as Cassandra wanted them to spend some time with the weapon. They walked outside the castle and saw a platform that was newly built for this special moment in the middle of the street. There was a huge crowd standing around it, waiting impatiently for what would happen. They could hear a lot of chatter and chitter.

“Are we s’pposed to go up there now?”, Azril asked. The other three was just as nervous as her and they didn’t know what to do until Cassandra walked up to them from behind.

“Stay here until I call your names. When you hear your name I want you to come up to me at the pedestal. The townsfolk are eager to hear the news about our four new heroes.”, she said before walking off to the crowd. Azril, Coliad, Fuyina and Malkall watched as the Queen prepared herself for the speech.

“Hello Ragni!”, she shouted, and a wave of applauses came. She waited it out and then began speaking. “As you all probably have realized, there have been some disorder in the town recently and you all have the rights to know why. Tonight, a big feast will commence here in Ragni, in honour of four herosoldiers who have done much for our provinces”, she continued. She took a pause so everyone could take the news in, and then they gave her another round of applauses. “I would like you all to welcome, Azril Aufidela, the Warrior!”, she shouted to the townsfolk, and they all started applauding. Azril stood petrified until Malkall shoved her away. She walked slowly up to the pedestal, she was really nervous.

“Please stay put here”, Cassandra said quietly to her when Azril walked up. Azril did as she said and stood still at the spot. “Now, I would like to welcome Coliad Iriasty, the Archer!”, Queen Cassandra continued. Coliad walked briskly up, and put himself next to Azril. Another applause came and he blushed a bit. “Next up, we have Fuyina Trobinus, the Assassin!”, Cassandra shouted. Fuyina looked at Malkall, and then she used a vanish spell. She disappeared into thin air, and the next second she appeared next to Coliad. Everyone shouted out of surprisement and then gave her the biggest applause yet. Fuyina looked backed at Malkall and smirked. She stole his attention, she made a grand entrance, unlike the others. It was time for Malkall to come up and he was going to make it even grander.

“And at last, the last one. Let me announce you, Malkall Eaumine, the Mage!”, she exclaimed and everyone started screaming when they saw a meteor heading towards them. Cassandra looked up and then back to Malkall. He wasn’t there and she started worrying. Was this what Elijah warned her about? She looked at the other herosoldiers and they gave her confused glances. The meteor suddenly exploded into pieces and Malkall appeared from it. He then disappeared and then appeared next to Fuyina. He looked at her and gave her a bigger smirk than she did before. He then looked at the townsfolk and they gave him a huge wave of applauses.

“Malkall I swear to God…”, Fuyina said to him. She didn’t look happy. “You gave them all such a fright!”

“Hah, at least they know now that I am the greatest of us”, he replied and brushed her off. “Oh look, my daughter is in the crowd!”, he continued and waved to his daughter with two ash blonde ponytails. “I wonder who that girl next to her is though. Probably a friend from school”, he said before Cassandra started talking.

“These herosoldiers are the newest additions to my personal guardforce, but today, this evening, they will receive medals of honour for showing their loyalty to the provinces, their bravery, their intelligence and their determination. It is with great honour I give you these, my subjects. I will enjoy working tog-”, she said, but she got abruptly interrupted by a sound in the distance. It sounded like wings flapping towards Ragni, and in a matter of seconds a guard came rushing.

“Your Majesty! We’ve spotted something that is headed towards us! It’s huge and we’ve received news that Detlas has been attacked by it! We suspect… that it’s a dragon”, he said before swooning.

“Oh dear…”, she said and looked at him. She gave out an order to the guards surrounding her to pluck him up and send him to the barracks. “Everyone, go seek shelter in the sewers! We won’t let this foul beast destroy our home!”, she shouted to the townsfolk. They all heard her loud and clear and a pandemonium occurred. She also sent some guards with the townsfolk to keep them safe. “Azril, Coliad, Fuyina and Malkall. I must ask you to aid us against whatever that is approaching us. The feast will have to wait, if there will be one.”, she said before sprinting off to the Eastern gate. She stopped and looked back at them. “What are you waiting for? We have a battle to win!”

“Your Majesty… you shouldn’t really be participating in a battle where you may die”, a guard told her. “And you don’t even have weapons!”, he bursted out.

“This is a battle for Ragni. A battle for my home. I will not be standing in my castle watching my subjects die from a beast. I will no longer be a spectator, I want to be as much of a warrior as all of you are! And also…”, she said and looked at the guard and the four herosoldiers. She put her hands on the back and dragged out two daggers. “I have successfully created two Mythic items for myself to use. These are called Weathered, and are my personal favourite weapon to use”, she explained. “Let’s go defeat a dragon.”, she said to the others and they went to the Eastern gate. When they left the border to Ragni, they saw golems and guards fighting against a huge, blue wyvern on the Emerald Trail. Fuyina, Azril, Cassandra, Coliad and Malkall stood at the gate, with their weapons drawn and ready to go. The battle for Ragni’s fate has begun.

Pretty good, although the first few chapters felt like they were going too fast.

    Surprise! Wynnter specials!

I will release 3 parts of a Wynnter Special this coming week. One today, one tomorrow and one on the last day of 2016.
The first chapter is up above in the second comment of this thread. I will also put them here in this comment.
I hope you like them, because I enjoyed writing them!
