Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The cat purrs, before slaloming between Lidnis' legs and rubbing itself on them as it does so.

 

Lidnis scratches behind its ears gently before moving on towards the palace.

 

The cat walks beside Lidnis, content.

 

Lidnis doesn't seem to notice, and just keeps walking.

 

The cat accompanies Lidnis all the way to the palace.

 

When she reaches the gate, Lidnis approaches a guard.
"Would you know who this kitty is? She seems rather... curious about me."

 

"That's the palace cat, Onyx." The guard says.

 

"Oh. She sure likes to watch from a distance, then." Lidnis comments.
"Is the king recovering well?"

 

"Yes, his wounds weren't anything too major." The guard says.

 

"That's good. He had some pretty deep cuts just after the fight."

 

"Simple injuries that can be healed easily." The guard says calmly.

 

"He didn't act like they were simple. At least he's recovering. I should get going, though... just make sure the cat doesn't follow me." Lidnis says, weaving a spell.

 

The guard picks Onyx up, and nods to Lidnis.

 

Lidnis opens a portal, steps through, and closes it.

 

It seems Lidnis isn't the only one on the other side of the portal; Onyx managed to get through.

 

Lidnis sighs.
"Kitty, can you even see in all this light?"

 

There's a meow, and a paw at Lidnis' leg.

 

"Kitty, here. Go home."
A smaller portal opens and Lidnis starts herding Onyx towards it.

 

Onyx seems to disagree, but heads through after a bit of herding.

 

Lidnis closes it once Onyx is safely through, then laughs.
"Stubborn cat." She mutters, heading back to check on Artemis and Stephanie.
