Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Neither of us know the other's culture. You're pardoned, as I hope I am likewise."

 

"Uh, yes, you are." The employee says.

 

Lidnis bows.
"Thank you. Now, maybe I should start with something simpler?"

 

"Oh, of course! You could try making a shirt out of these materials." The employee says, grabbing some deep blue and vibrant purple fabric.

 

"I'll try... This machine does- ah, shoot. Forget it, I'm going this my style."
Lidnis uses her claws to make the seams on a shirt and is soon finished.

"Is this right?"

 

"Whoa, yeah, that looks amazing!" The employee says, amazed.

 

"Thanks. Cloth is like an extremely fragile metal. How much more should I do?"

 

"Well, we need a few more dresses, shirts, skirts and trousers. Just make as many as you can." The employee says.

 

"How fast?" Lidnis asks, eyeing a particular gear on her staff.

 

"Well, we usually close around six, and it's half past one now." The employee says.

 

"I'll show off, then."
With the turn of a gear, Lidnis seems to move impossibly fast. When she slows down back to normal, the clothes she was told to make are done.

"Never aspire for chronomancy. It comes, or you die trying. Your king is lucky someone took the repercussions of his carelessness..."

 

"Oh, wow." The employee says, picking up the clothes and beginning to sort them in another part of the room.

 

Lidnis just waits.

 

"There's not really much work left to do," The employee says, "You can go tell boss you've completed your work for today and collect your payment."

 

"Okay."
Lidnis goes back to Charles and just says "I'm done. The employees said I should tell you I completed my work and should collect payment. Even though your clock says I've been here about twenty minutes."

 

"Already? Well, I shouldn't have underestimated a chronomancer. Here's your payment." Charles says, retrieving a small coin bag from under his desk and handing it to Lidnis.

 

"Thank you." Lidnis says, taking the bag.
"Would you mind if I brought in some of my people's clothing to show the employees next time I come in?"

 

"Not at all." Charles says.

 

"Thank you. I hope the rest of the day goes well; I still need to figure out how to stop my city from sinking into lava. May the tides of time be with you." Lidnis says, a hint of emotion at the end as she leaves the store and makes for the palace, donning her cloak again.

 

"Goodbye!" Charlie says happily.
