I thought I could resist the darkness. Fight it.
But ever since Hemithward, the darkness started to overwhelm me. Now I use all my power to defending myself, to stop me from getting corrupt.

Hemithward is terrible. Every corner and street has demons, and dark energy flow in the very air. I was wearing a helmet from Temple of the Legends when I entered Gavel, that soul protect me from corruption, but my jailers have taken it away from me.

Gelfirm-Darzgar glows in the distance.

Oops, forgot about that.. uh..

IC: I help Luke up, and say to him and Bailwolf, "Guess we won't need to go to my friends place, since that thing is.. uh.. dead?"

OOC: I don't really know how exactly the prisoners are imprisoned.

I either use my necromantic powers or bones to free them.

I quickly despawn the Xenowyrm. Although I never really spend too much time "bonding" with my dragons, I never like seeing one die, and I never have seen it happen until now. Then, I hear a voice in my head say "A person is very strong when they seek to protect something." I don't know who's voice it is, but it gives me confidence. I prepare my next attack, focusing magic into the blade.

Ajnin casts a spell to knock the jailers back, just as Vocthar releases a bomb spell at Dullahan.
Mortem looks unnaturally pale, and he is hunched over and shielding himself from Dullahan.
Dullahan leans back, and the Arrow Bomb explodes behind the man. He jumps up high, then grab onto the chamber wall.
He leans forward, and release his hands, but he does not fall. His feet looks like they are glued to the wall, as he towers over the others.
"Forth, my slaves!" He shouts, and hundreds of captured spirits rain down on the trio.

He drinks our essence. Help us, Lord! Dullahan's magic is too strong for us.
The spirits whisper to you as they rain down.

"No, not yet." Luke says as he staggers upward. "Just trapped, and my magic won't hold for long. We have to go to your friend's house, if that is nearer from here."
Bailwolf says, "Besides, I don't think I can run."

"Yah!" With a cry, Drandel jumps up. Her sword glows as magical energy charges up. Scopio growls and leap upward, his pincers open. As Drandel's sword hits the monster, there is a crack, and the air explodes. A huge shockwave radiates outward.
Drandel rise from the corpse of the scorpion man.

Pyrs roar in rage. He raise his staff, and as he was about to cast a spell...
A knife slash at the wizard's back.
Pyrs's wards protect the knife from causing much damage internally, but the wound spatter out blood. Pyrs quickly cast a spell of healing, and the wound closes. Turning around, he sees Katherine standing behind him, holding a long, bloody knife.
"How...?" Pyrs mutters.
"You're not the only one who can use magic." The angel smiles.

As they run, they hear a shattering sound, and a sound of the dragon roaring in rage. Luke doubles his speed and tell Ronan and Bailwolf, "The fire drake is free. Hurry!"
Soon, they come in sight of the marshes where Sherk lives. "Over there!" Ronan points at a small hill.
Many shapes rise out from the mud. Ronan cast a bomb spell, Bailwolf casts a fireball, and Luke produces a bright flash of light, and the monsters fall back. The trio barge into the house, surprising the green ogre sitting on a table, eating from a bowl.

 

Smart choice, elf.
I plan to take down the light. They have ruled this world for too long.They have done so, however, only because I have let them.
Now, as Light grows weaker, I plan to rise from the deepest of Dern, to wet the ground with blood of all who would oppose me.

I shall grant you power. With that power, you shall destroy Olux. Three of the adventurers who arrived at Gavel is travelling to there.
Kill them.


A wave of energy roll into you from the sphere. You are released from the vision; you now stagger back, fighting the force. Then you realise: you have to let it in. Grimacing, you let the energy flow into you.
You look no different; but now, you possess magical energy far from those that belong to mortals. You feel like you can shift the very earth!

 

"Don't worry we will free you!"
I attempt to free them from Dullahans control.

 

The spirits seem empty. Bony arms rise from the ground and grab at the trio's legs.
Mortem shouts, "I will set you free, spirits! May you find peace!"
A bright flash produce from the room. The spirits sigh all at once; "Thank you, lord."
Mortem staggers down to one knee, but otherwise stays awake. A breeze flow through the room, then all goes silent.
"NOOOO!" Dullahan cries. The jailers crumble to the ground. "You will pay for that!"
The man jumps and land on the platform. Vocthar and Ajnin stands protective over Mortem.

"Heh heh, heeey, Sherk. Buddy," I look at Bailwolf and Luke then whisper to Sherk, "I need to call in that favour, if you don't mind."

 

I take the sphere with me and fly towards Olux.
