A Question About Loot Chests And Mobs.

Well, probably might be a really obvious question, but I'd like to ask:
When accessing a loot chest, is it true u get some sort of "invincibility"?

I kind of notice this, one time I saw a loot chest but there were a ton of freezing stone golems guarding it, but I thought "Heh, lemme just get a quick grab and run". So, of course, all the mobs were hostile towards me but as soon as I accessed the chest, they all stopped being hostile for a while and just stood there patiently as I grabbed my loot... but of course, they switched back to hostility as soon as I exited the chest menu. It's as if they want a fair fight so they chose not to whack me while I was looting.

For you not to die. You can even stay in a hostile area with the loot chest on. (Don't try, it's abusing)
