Render Roots Of Corruption

This is the first render I've ever made so please tell some feedback on how to improve it! Thanks!

This took about 30 minutes to make and I used Mine-imator and Photoshop

That's a nice render!

If you want some feedback, here you go

Use some DOF on your render (DOF is when the stuff that aren't on focus are blurry)
Add a bit of glare to the light and the light reflections
I don't know how mineimator calculates the light bounces but if possible, you should have more light bounces because the shadows are pretty dark (the portal light shoud bounce from the blocks and give the shadows near the portal a little bit of a purple look)

But you really nailed it with the camera angle , the colors and the mood! This is really good :D

 

From my experience, it doesn't have any fancy shading. Just basic shadows from light.

Nice to see another render, these are rare on wynncraft. Same with what yotamdin said. Needs Depth of Field. But this is a great render, and actually pretty good done in 30 minutes!

I would recommand you to use Blender! I've been using it for a year now and you can get some amazing and photorealisic results (it also has a built in compositor so you can achive some effects withut using photoshop)

I understand why your using blender, its free. :) Id also recommend starting with blender first before you start or want to pay for other programs

 

Yeah I agree, Blender is really good for starting but it's also a really good software in general

I've already tried Cinema 4d and I prefer Blender much more but I get why a lot of people would use it, it's really good as well so it all comes to what you wanna use :p


Also, your cinema 4d team is inactive :/
But it was still a pretty big team compared to right now
