Why Is The Mythic Wand "pure" So Terrible?

i dont get it, people were paying like 5 stacks for it before and now its like 1-2 stacks. anyone know how this works?

There was a glitch Pre-Gameplay update where % spell damage also multiplied the raw amount
Basically it was bugged and thus insanely good
Now it isn't bugged and thus bad

 

When gavel released, there was a misunderstanding that 'Pure got tons of %spell, it must be op'.at that time Pure could sell for a lot. However, after test, realised the terrible base dmg even has the godly %spell buffs, still crapy DMG. Then the price dropped.

 

Not true, Pure WAS good cause of a bug, like @Kawaii__Turtle urtle mentioned

I am still confused by this too. It was insanely OP, but can still deal higher spell damage than Gaia with a good spell damage roll.

 

It was only good due to a glitch with raw spell damage multipliers

 

raw spell damage on armor used to get boosted by pure's % spell damage
now it doesnt
so the damage was nerfed massively
then powders came out, and pure has no slots so it can't have a special ability

Doesnt the fixed bug only affect the ice snake and not the meteor cause if im correct raw sd only affects multi hit spells like ice snake so meteor and teleport should be fine right?

Ah yes, I still remember the day when it got fixed and everyone raged. "WHY DID THEY NERF PURE OMG WHAT THE F*CK"

 

A combination of the fixing of a spell damage% ID bug that made Pure more stronger than it should be and the introduction of powders has certainly knocked Pure off the top, even then, it's still a good wand no matter what.

the raw spell id will add x neutral damage to every spell you cast, and ice snake is not technically a multi hit spell, those skills would include multi hit, arrow storm, and war scream which is affected by melee % or something instead which is a bug that will be fixed. Now raw spell is mostly used in conjunction with multi hit spells as +1000 neutral per hit will be stronger than +1000 neutral for one hit, I see quite a few people who use raw spell with mage where in reality it would probably be more beneficial on assassin or archer.
