What Does Soul Point Regen Actually Do?

Recently I've been having a lot of trouble adjusting to the new place I am grinding in, and as a result I am dying quite a bit. It usually results in me either risking my items ( just lost max return to ether I cri) or waiting for a while to get my SP back up. Because of this I decided to create a soul point regen build, but before I go off buying items, I would like to know exactly what soul point regen does.

Obviously, it increases the amount of soul points you can get, but how does it actually do it? Is it a percentage chance to get 2 SP instead of 1 SP, is it a direct increase of how much you get? So like instead of 1 SP you would get 10? (I doubt it is this). Please answer the question for me and anyone else who isn't able to ask. Thanks

 

It's a chance to get 2 soul points instead of 1. If it's negative, you have a chance to get 0.

 

It increases the chance of getting two sp per day

 

It's a % chance to get 2, Angelic Halo and Soul Signal are pretty good, as is cosmic gear

 

The Line up I've got is Soul Signal, Angelic Halo, Vaward, Seismosoul, and Ensa's Resolve. But it appears I won't need those since there's no point in having more than 100%.

A somewhat boring method of increasing recovery is to surf the servers looking for late at night/ crack of dawn. The soul point return is based on being online on a server at a single just-after-dawn point when it triggers the roll. It is possible to get back five soul points in five minutes (I have, though it is my personal best) if you keep switching servers to ones that are about to be at that early morning point.

 

I am aware of this. I just wanted to know how soul point regen was calculated :3
