Guide The Many Grind Spots Of Molten Heights

    Fire Scarab Caves
    Fire Scarab Cave.png
    Mob Levels: 87
    Risk: Low
    Spawn Rate: Very High
    XP- Fire Scarabs: 400-440
    Elements to use: Water
    Ranged Mobs?: No.

    These locations gives very low experience, but the high spawn rate makes them better for Loot grinding than XP grinding. The mobs spawn very often and do low damage.

    Coordinates: 1313 16 -5053 or 1454 15 -5353
    The Demon's Lair
    Demon's Lair.png
    Mob Levels: 96
    Risk: Very High
    Spawn Rate: High
    XP- Infernal/Harbringer Demons: 2200-2290, Dark Balrog: 11700-13000
    Elements to use: Earth/Water
    Ranged Mobs?: Yes.

    This location gives a lot of xp, around 5000 per kill with cosmic armour, and a very high spawn rate. The mobs hit extremely hard, so use the invincibility from the loot chest near the entrance wisely.

    Coordinates: 1377 8 -5070
    Freezing Heights
    Freezing Heights.png
    Mob Levels: 90-94
    Risk: High
    Spawn Rate- Frosted Guards: Very High, Master Ice Mage: Very Low, Other Mobs: Low
    XP- Frosted Guard: 900-940, Freezing Stone Golem(92): 920-1050, Freezing Stone Golems(93): 950-1090, Antipode: 1020-1150, Light Ice Mage: 920-990, Dark Ice Mage: 920-990, Master Ice Mage: 2000-2200, Young Water Drake: 2450-2600, Young Ice Drake: 4000-4350
    Elements to use: Fire/Thunder
    Ranged Mobs?: The mage mobs are, but they spawn so rarely that it shouldn't be much of an issue.

    We all know about this spot, it's still an amazing place to grind. Additionally, Flarelings spawn in here a lot, so you'll get lots of powders from grinding if you're lucky.

    Coordinates: 1452 11 -5421
    The Molten Knight Temple
    Molten Knight Temple.png
    Mob Levels: 89-92
    Risk: High
    Spawn Rate- Molten Knights: High, Molten Archers: Low, Molten Madoshis: Low, Molten Golems: Average, Dark Molten Knights: Low
    XP- Molten Archer: 400-440, Molten Madoshi: 830-900, Molten Golem: 910-1000, Molten Knight: 2550-2800, Dark Molten Knight: 2720-3200
    Elements to use: Water
    Ranged Mobs?: Only the Archers and Madoshis, and they spawn rarely and do minimal damage. Shouldn't be an issue.

    There are a lot of mobs here at all times, so it can be hard to pick up loot. Don't get too cocky or you'll get trapped in a mob of Molten Knights.

    Coordinates: 1398 69 -5596
    The Balrog's Lair

    Mob Levels: 88-92
    Risk: Average
    Spawn Rate- Ignis: High, Charring Beast: Low, Balrog: Very Low
    XP- Charring Beast: 830-900, Ignis: 910-1000, Balrog: 6000-6800
    Elements to use: Water (Balrog is weak to Earth)
    Ranged Mobs?: No.

    This location is decent for xp, and has a Tier III loot chest as well. It's where the Phoenix Nest used to be.

    Coordinates: 1546 89 -5650
    The Pyret Cave
    Pyret Cave.png
    Mob Levels: 89-92
    Risk: Low
    Spawn Rate: Pyrets: Average, Smoke Serpents: Low
    XP- Pyret: 830-950, Smoke Serpent: 920-1050
    Elements to use: Earth/Thunder
    Ranged Mobs?: No.

    This location might not give that much experience, but it's nice for laid back grinding or multitasking because the mobs are slow and not too threatening, while still giving decent xp.

    Coordinates: 1482 22 -5102
    The Obsidian Guard Cavern/The Old Dogun City
    Obsidan Guard Cavern.png
    Mob Levels: 91-95
    Risk: Very High
    Spawn Rate- Dogun Brutes: High, Obsidian Guards: Average
    XP- Crumbling Dogun: 1000-1200, Dogun Brute: 1050-1250, Crumbling Shaman: 3400-3700, Obsidian Guard: 3600-4200
    Elements to use: Water/Air
    Ranged Mobs?: No.

    These mobs hit hard, especially the Obsidian Guards. They give lots of xp, but DO NOT let your guard down.

    Coordinates: 1252 72 -5619 or 1525 81 -5069
    The Azer Cliff
    Azer Cliff.png
    Mob Levels: 93
    Risk: Average
    Spawn Rate- All Mobs: Average
    XP- Azer Footsoldier: 920-1050, Azer Ironmage: 940-1030, Azer Vanquisher: 1000-1040, Azer Taskmaster: 3200-3300
    Elements to use: Water/Air
    Ranged Mobs?: No.

    These mobs spawn frequently and give decent xp and loot, the only issue is that they drop their armour when they die so it's hard to tell what drops you can pick up and what drops you can't.

    The Demon's Lair is way better, and so is the Obsidian Guard Cave.
    All of them are good, so now freezing heights won't have 9287049 players in it at all times.

    Which are both 'High Risk' locations. If they're ranged mobs, i'm not grinding there. If they take too long to kill, i'm not grinding there. For me Freezing Heights is just right, since you can camp, there's no ranged mobs and they are 1-2 shotted.

    The Obsidian Guards and Dogun Brutes are not ranged, they just hit extremely hard.
    Here, I'll add if the mobs are ranged or not in the spoilers.

    High-risk, high reward is the name of the game. Just sitting in the Heights where you can't be touched and spamming ranged spells, isn't that boring? Now there's places where you can still grind effectively, but actually have some danger involved, a bit of excitement, and be rewarded as such.

    Do you think you can change the xp/k to how much you get with unaltered XP bonus? Because I only got 600-700 per kill for most of these.

    And also Salamander cave/tunnel. It's under the 3x3 piston door that leads to a T3 near Azer cliff and magma entity cave.

    Demon's Lair has around the same xp, and they die faster in my experience. It depends on which you prefer fighting: Would you rather battle melee mobs with the pull spell, or powerful ranged mobs?

    There are still more casual grinding locations, like the Pyret Cave, so if you'd rather take it slow and easy, you can.
    They just don't give as much xp.
