Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He pushes Artemis next to the crystal then curls up around them both, humming happily.
"I'm glad you're okay."

 

"I'm glad you are too, Sgavrinn!" Artemis says happily.

 

"Where'd Aj go? I heard loud noises and things, but I was hungry and I'm still really hungry, so I didn't want to lose the crystal."

 

"He's gone to get healed, he was in a fight." Artemis says.

 

"With what? Is he bringing food?"

 

"A light creature. I could get you some food if you wanted." Artemis says.

 

"The crystal's nice. Did it come from the light creature?"

 

"No, I don't think so. I'd be worried if it did." Artemis says.

 

"Oh. Well, it's nice. It's running out of magic, though."

 

"I could get Stephanie to charge it for you when she's conscious." Artemis says.

 

"Huh? It's Stephanie's? Can you ask her if I can keep it?"

 

"If it is hers, then I'll ask her, yes." Artemis says.

 

"Okay. Also, where'd Katie and Abigail run off to?"

 

"They're, um, they're badly wounded. They're being kept in their respective elemental areas to heal." Artemis says.

Crystal stand there, just looking stunned at what just occurred.

Meanwhile, I catch AJ on my way back.
"Hey... What happened?"
I ask him.

 

Sgavrinn just freezes up, unmoving and unintentionally locking Artemis between his body and wing.

Ihra walks up to Crystal.
"Hey, it'll be alright. Injuries can be mended and forgotten; casualties cannot..." She says, quiet at the end as she tears up.
"...No. If anything, I should fight harder for them." She grumbles offhandedly.

 

"Light creature..." I manage to say, clearly badly wounded.

"S-Sgavrinn, you're hurting me!" Artemis says in a pained voice.

 

"Oh, crap. But the fact that you're alive means that you got him, right?"
I ask, a tone of worry in my voice.

"I'm sorry..."
He responds weakly.
"I could've helped..."
He then falls to his knees, shaken.

 

"Yeah...he's gone forever." I say weakly.

 

"Good. I hope you fare well, then."
I continue heading to the group.
