Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Myria falls to the ground, weak. Myria's skin starts to peel off as she chokes.

"M-Mother!?" Artemis asks, kneeling beside Myria, "What did you do!?"

The light creature is nowhere to be seen.

 

The field is lifted, a barrier around the group.
"Slowly forcing it out of the city." She mutters.
"Her powers are back now; they never left. The creature, however, is subject to fighting in darkness."

 

Crystal seems incredibly surprised.

I arrive where Artemis told me Abigail might be.

 

Myria gets back up, her skin healing over.

"This'll be just like old times." I say, smiling and walking into the middle of the barriered zone, Shadow Katana drawn.

Abigail is wrapped in vines, sitting next to a forest guardian who seems to be reading notes she gives him.

 

"Crystal, don't worry. That's not too serious." Ruby says offhandedly.

"Now, you have to find them, but aside from the area you're standing in and the entries, which are sealed off with a barrier, you can't shadow travel and they can't light travel. You'll have to spread darkness around from the edge of the elemental null zone to corner it and kill it."

 

I nod to the two.
"Hello."

 

"I don't think that'll be much of a problem." I say, sidestepping a beam of light shot from a light rifle a short distance away, held by a tough looking light creature.

"About time you showed your ugly face." I say, charging the light creature and doging the beams of light it shoots.

Abigail waves.

"Greetings." Victus says.

 

"Muted for the healing process?"
I ask Abigail.

 

Abigail hands you a note.

"I lost my voice from the contact with the ice. It's one of the effects." The note reads.

 

"Huh. Going to get it back?"
I say, referring to her voice.

 

The shots get pulled into and absorbed by Ruby's staff, causing her to glow an odd twilight.
"Miss more. Simplifies my life."

 

Abigail nods.

I take a swing at the light creature, who dodges and fires at me. I manage to disperse the beam of light with Shadow Katana before the light creatue rolls out of the way, grabbing Artemis and putting the rifle to her head.

"Move and she dies. Submit." The light creature says.
Artemis cries.

 

The barrel of the rifle starts to have an odd glow.

"Hey, hon, look behind you for a minute. It'll make this easier on us all." Ruby says, mocking the light creature's speech.

You can see Ihra cloaked behind the creature, a spell just about to be cast.

 

The light creature backflips high over Ihra, blasting a beam at Ihra as I dash towards Artemis and grab her.

 

"That's good."
I check on the visual integrity of her.

 

It seems only her head and hands are visible; the rest of her body is covered in vines; her armour and clothes off to the side. Most of her wounds seem to be gone, however.

 

"Well, it seems that you're doing fine. Just keep a keen eye, okay?"

 

Abigail nods, before pulling apart some of the vines in her chest area. Between her breasts down to her stomach, there's a closed wound which seems to be healing quite well. Abigail gives a thumbs up.

 

"Good. Well, I just came to check on you. I'll be going. Goodbye, for now."
I smile, and turn around, walking away.

 

Abigail waves happily, the vines closing over again.
