Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Strangely, Ragnyon's spirit form feels empowered for a second before I appear next to Myria.

"Good luck." I say, smiling.

 

"Thanks." She says before flying off, physical body falling asleep on the bench.

...
Minutes later, Sgavrinn is carried over and dropped near Myria by a few guards, curled up so tight they carried him by his tail and neck.

 

Myria smiles, but keeps a lookout.

 

It quickly becomes apparent he's wrapped himself around something, and the guard's prying isn't getting anywhere.

 

"What are you trying to acquire?" Myria asks the guard.

 

"He's got something, and we can't tell what."

 

"Where was it taken from?" Myria asks.

 

"We don't know, he's just really attached to whatever it is. I can't lever him out of his grip on whatever it is." The guard grunts, trying again to break Sgavrinn's grip with their lance.

 

"Then I suggest you leave him be. Let sleeping dogs lie, as they say." Myria says.

 

"What if it's dangerous? He won't show us, and he's not asleep."

 

Myria walks over to Sgavrinn, gently placing a hand on his head.

"Sgavrinn, what are you holding?" Myria asks telepathically, kindly and calmly.

 

"It's a light crystal, full of energy." He replies, still clinging on to the item.

 

"It is nothing more than a source of light." Myria says to the guard.

 

"Something from that light creature hunting us?" The guard asks, pulling their lance out of Sgavrinn's ball.

 

"If it were, then it would be dead. It is very much still alive." Myria says, her vision drifting from the guard.

 

"...You see it?" The guard asks, holding their weapon defensively.

 

"I'm looking for it." Myria says. With a blink, her eyes start glowing.

 

"Ruby?" The guard asks, kneeling.
"Already up."
"That wasn't so bad."

 

Myria suddenly leaps backwards, slicing her scythe toward Artemis' neck. Artemis looks terrified moments before a knife appears, thrust toward Artemis' neck but being blocked by the scythe. Myria starts blocking a range of incredibly fast attacks with her scythe, slicing around Artemis who is petrified; tears running down her face from fear.

 

"Now."
Myria, Artemis, and the light creature's element-related powers are stripped, Ruby's eyes glowing creepily.
"Coward... Why don't you try fighting us all?"
