Stuck On Loading Terrain

Every time i log-in into the server and want to choose a world to play on i prees the world and it is not loading the terrain ( just writes "Loading Terrain") and i have to re lunch my minecraft and hope it will fix it .
Does Anyone know how to fix it ?
P.S /Edit - it is loading ... but only after 5-10 min waiting on the loading screen , and I have 3gb on minecraft

I assume the "Downloading terrain" glitch is because your internet connection is slow. When I have bad ping, I get stuck on that screen for a very long time.

My advice is to find a world that has <20 players in it. Even with bad ping/connection, the loading time for these low player worlds takes about 15 seconds or less. If you go into busier worlds, then you're going to experience the long lag wait of "Downloading terrain".

You could also switch MC version to 1.8.9 and see if that improves the loading time, though I think that doing that fixes horses and the texture pack and doesn't necessarily fix loading times.

 

Try using the old Minecraft launcher (the one that uses Java).
