WARNING THIS IS ALL WRONG BYE

I did some quick calculations and came up with this.
(Emphasis on quick: this took me 5 minutes, and there's probably more I could do but didn't)

We know that the Hive weapons start out as 100% neutral damage right? With 5 slots.
I'm working on the %neutral-element damage here, not accounting for any raw damage added by powders.
WARNING: Water or thunder damage may be lower than you want

You have 5 elements left to put onto this. So, you want to take up around 20% of the neutral damage.
Step 1: Put a T3 Fire Powder on your weapon.
This converts 19% (close enough) neutral to fire damage.
    Current damage: 81-19

4 elements left, with 81% of neutral left. So you want to take about 25% off of that 81, or about 20 more.
Step 2: Put a T5 Water Powder on your weapon.
This converts 26% neutral to water damage.
    Current damage: 60-19-21

3 elements left. So, you want to take up around 33% of the neutral damage.
Step 3: Put a T6 Air Powder on your weapon.
This converts 35% neutral to air damage.
    Current damage: 39-19-21-21

2 elements left. So, you want to take up around 50% of the neutral damage.
Step 4: Put a T6 Earth Powder on your weapon.
This converts 46% neutral to earth damage.
    Current damage: 21-19-21-21-18

Only 1 element left. So, you want to take up 100% of the neutral damage.
Step 5: Put a T6 Thunder Powder on your weapon.
This converts 28% neutral to thunder damage. (Remember what I said? RIP Thunder. A noble sacrifice)
    Final damage: 15-19-21-21-18-6

There you go! You end up with about an even split between fire, air, water and earth, with much less thunder (sorry) and still a bit of neutral. A perfect custom rainbow!

EDIT: I realized that, if you prefer Thunder over Water, you can switch around Steps 2 & 5 to get a similar result (more thunder but less water).

Enjoy, and I hope this helps!

Ok so I worked it out for a Infused Hive Bow and this is what it comes out to (raw from powders included) (freedom in parentheses for comparison)

    60-90 neutral (none)
    82-124 fire (90-100)
    95-140 water (70-85)
    100-144 air (80-100)
    90-130 earth (110-135)
    29-76 thunder (20-170)

So as you can see it's just better than a freedom and without the high sp requirements

Need to keep in mind tho thats a freedom with no powders in it so it can still get a special and 2 more powders, plus freedom gives +skills + hp raw +ws +raw spell and melee and + thorns (tho the ws and thorns dont really matter). So imo freedom is still better but hive bow is a nice replacement for freedom if you dont have the cash.

    Hey, I like your theory.
But I don't think this would actually work perfectly in game..
The percentage of converting neutral into element damage is calculated from the first raw neutral damage.
So it'd work better if you put all about 20% neutral powders.
On Hive Bow (400-600 Neutral at first)
    I put in order of;
    T2 Earth (21% neutral)
    T4 Thunder (17% neutral)
    T4 Water (21% neutral)
    T3 Fire (19% neutral)
    T3 Air (17% neutral)
(I actually could have put T4 air (22%) so the sum would be 100%)

These powders' sum is 95% neutral, so 5% neutral was left.

    EDIT:
Well.. it seems like your theory is right.
I did like only 100 air damage on bomb, so I felt like I was wrong.
This is a glitch. Visual glitch on putting several powders on weapon. CT please.

    EDIT2:
um.. it seems like both theory is right. (mine and yours)
    You wonder what I mean?
If the shown damages on top of mobs in game were right.. ←well it's the most important part
I do the damage as shown on the weapon on melee.
On melee, the powders work like how I explained on this post first.
On spell, the powders work like how you explained on this thread.
So if you use spells mainly, you should put powders like he explained on the first post of this thread.
If you use melee, you should put powders like how I explained.
    I put in order of;
    T2 Earth (21% neutral)
    T4 Thunder (17% neutral)
    T4 Water (21% neutral)
    T3 Fire (19% neutral)
    T3 Air (17% neutral)

So if I calculate like what @Endertricity did on this thread..

    Earth: 21%
    Thunder: 13.43%
    Water: 13.7697%
    Fire: 9.842057%
    Air: 7.13290131%
    Neutral: 34.82534169%

    Earth: 84-126 + 6-9 = 90-135
    Thunder: 54-81 + 3-24 = 57-105
    Water: 55-83 + 8-12 = 63-95
    Fire: 39-59 + 6-10 = 45-69
    Air: 29-43 + 7-10 = 36-53
    Neutral: 139-209

    .......... wait.
It should leave about 35% neutral, but it actually doesn't do any neutral. (on the pics, they're from raw spell)
But it does so less air damage.. It even seems lower than 36-53 base damage..
    What the hell is going on ;w;
    CT please.
Disclaimer: My theory is only right when these amounts were true
    Melee
    [IMG]
    Spell (Bomb)
    Spell (Escape stomp)
Escape's element damage is only air.
So what I can tell from here is, it isn't even converting any good amount of neutral into fire..
Do you even know how to math, salted.. or I don't know
    [IMG]

whoa did I just find out a big thing

well.. I can tell one thing.
    This is a visual
GLITCH. Please. This is why people quit.
