Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Could I have that sword?" I ask, gesturing to it.

 

"If you're alright with using weapons designed to kill specific people, you can." Myria says, offering the sword.

 

"Some light creature is picking us off one by one. Don't travel alone."
I state.

Crystal comes over, curious as to what happened, then seems surprised.

 

I take the sword, place a rune on it, and then desummon it.

"And don't stray too far from the group. We have to make sure everyone is within easy contact of each other."

 

"I believe they're after Aj, and are killing his friends to get to him." Myria says.

"First Abigail and Katie, now Stephanie...if they're picking off close friends, wouldn't that leave..." Artemis trails off, scared.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you Artemis. I promise." Myria says, ruffling Artemis' hair and smiling.

 

"Not to get you down, Artemis, but this guy's a professional. Neither of us even knew that he or she was there until a sword was in Stephanie."

 

"Actually, can either of you create illusions?" I ask.

 

"They move at the speed of light; you'll only know what they've done once they've done it." Myria says.

"Not convincing ones." Artemis says.

Myria shakes her head.

 

"Well, then, I guess just stay alert, and never by yourself."

 

"I'll keep guard." Myria says. With a blink of her eyes, they begin to glow a dark green.

 

"Tsk." I say and then pull out my journal and proceed to take down notes and draw sketches.

 

"On the mental side, I could always make it seem like illusions exist through visions." Myria says.

 

"Thanks."
I smile.

Crystal starts clearly thinking.

 

"After Thirteen came back, we definitely know what we're dealing with. Should I alert the guards to keep watch? There is a type of draconian who can't see light or the illusions the creature would attempt to use..."

 

"That'd certainly be useful."
I comment.

 

"As much as that may be useful, I think this light creature is trying to be stealthy, ironically. However any protection we can get would be nice." Myria says.

 

"It'll make it known if they're here at all. The city will become a safe haven unless they want to fight everyone here at once." Ruby says, starting to head off.

 

"You should bring Aj, too. He's the only one equipped to kill." Myria says.

 

"I can't find him here. I don't know where he went, and I can't go into the realm of shadows without killing masses."

 

"Wasn't he headed to the outer city to help Abigail?" Myria asks.
