I'd probably use the CLOCK MODUS. When an item is captchalogued, it is assigned a number based on the hour it was captchalogued (Ex. An item captchalogued at 1:00 is assigned the number 1, and an item captchalogued at 7:59 is assigned the number 7). The requirement is that it must be the hour of the item's number to obtain it (Ex. It must be 4:XX to use an item with the number 4). This method requires extreme planning and what would seem like prediction, but the upside is that you have a slot for each minute on the clock, which means 60 items can share the same number, and you have 720 slots total!

 

I would use the BOOK MODUS. When you captchalogue an item, that item is assigned a number depending on how many items are captchalogued, like pages in a book. In order to uncaptchalogue an item, you have to remember its page number or flip through all of the cards one by one to find it. It can hold as many items as it has cards for.

 

That's actually very useful! You could alchemise a weapon for each hour and a pesterchum device for each hour and you would be fine!

 

Since we're talking about moduses.
There are two (II) different modes for mine.
1. Duality Modus - Each Item picked up will be asserted to the corresponding number of letters it has. Though this modus will have two separate storages. The first one will be the original unmodified item. The second one will give it a random property, good or bad (Ying Yang) depending on the item. So, the item has two chances of what it can be. Ex. A bucket may create a hybrid grub or a drone. (FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK Karkat is coming..) Also 1000 slots. I mean 500 slots. I mean 250 slots. 125? Fine, 22.
2. Bucket Modus Zodiac Modus - Once an item is captchalogued, it will force itself to apply to a certain part of a zodiac sign. Such as a scorpion would fall in a particular zodiac sign. (I swear if you can't get it it's time to put yourself in the bucket)

Lol how fun. My modus is also called the clock modus, so stop stealing names. But it functions differently in that instead of it functioning based on the hour side it functions based on the minute side. For example, while you could take out something put in at 7:10 out at 7:30, I could take it out at 7:10, an hour later. It works in increments of 10, so anything put in between 7:00 and 7:10 can be retrieved between 8:00 and 8:10, but it's limited in that after you put something in, you have to wait tlater least an hour to get it back out.

My fetch Modus would be Cipher modus. You pick a type of code, for example morse code. For (morse) code modus to work, you'd captchalogue anything at will but you cannot take them out until you've done morse code for the number. E.g 1 = .---- 2 = ..--- etc. Simple too. All the cards are named from 1 and up to how many cards you have. The higher the card you put your item in, the harder it is to get it as you cannot rush Morse code. (I'm using this as the example because this is the cipher I would use).

ARENA Modus. When you captchalogue something, you just captchalogue it, nothing special.

But to actually get it out, you have to fight [Monsters] related to the thing on the card, with a weapon related to it.

So if you captchalogued for example.. a car, you'd have to win a car derby, etc.

I'm bad at thinking of things.

 

Just for fun, I'm making another modus.

This one is called the BULLET MODUS. When an item is captchalogued, it is stored in a CLIP. Each CLIP has 10 cards, so 10 items are stored in each clip. To obtain an item, you must SHOOT it. This basically is like when John had too many items and they shot out of his modus. You have multiple CLIPS, but you must empty your current CLIP to access another one. For example, if I'm currently using a CLIP full of cards, but I want to access a CLIP with my sword in it, I must SHOOT all of the cards to access the next CLIP. A new CLIP is added when you gain 10 new cards, and you start off with 3 CLIPS.

 

CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT THIS IS. I JUST THOUGHT SOMEONE DREW THOSE FOR THE WYNN STAFFS IM ALL OVER THE PLACE WHAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

I don't understand why people feel the need to have overly complex FETCH MODI. I prefer the ability to just captchalouge something, then be able to take it out without much hassle. Sure, the THIEF modus requires some SYLLADEX management once you start picking up a lot of things, but it's otherwise easy and efficient to use.

Homestuck is a webcomic created by Andrew Hussie, with music from various famous artists, one being Toby Fox, who created Undertale too. It started on 4/13/09, and ended on 4/13/16. It is a webcomic about a young boy and his friends and a game they play together. I highly suggest reading it; it has a lot of pages, and it shouldn't be rushed, but once you've sold your soul to Hussie gone on the wild, emotional and amazing ride that is Homestuck, you will not regret a millisecond of the time you've spent reading it.

You can read Homestuck here, at mspaintadventures.com. There are a pair of buttons called 'Save Game' and 'Load Game' at the bottom of the comic, which I highly suggest using. 'Save Game' will save your place in the webcomic, and 'Load Game' will take you back to that page. So, if you were to read 50 pages, save your game, then turn off your computer, then come back and press 'Load Game' from the first page, you will be taken 50 pages in to the place you were last at.

Cause most of the modi in the comic have strange and archaic methods of retrieval. Some are simply inconvenient until you learn how to utilize and organize, but others are just...weird. Look at the JUJU MODUS. Until Caliborn does the thing, it's almost entirely useless because your items get sent to another person when you captchalogue them. And Aradia's Ouija Modus is also incredibly random and finicky. What about Kanaya's Chastity Modus, forcing you to find keys to re-open your cards?
