Discussion in 'Questions' started by TalentedJosh117, Oct 19, 2016.

?

Should there be an offline texture pack available?

  1. Sure, why not?

Alright, so, here's a little thing I got going on

I just downloaded a Wynncraft Texture pack for offline use that I found while searching the interwebs and ran into a particular situation. As expected, the weapon models are blocks, not something I mind. However, I was wondering if there was a way to move them to actual weapons WITH saving the animations.

(This is the place I found the link on:)

I want to have the art style of this resource pack, but I want to change the icons and holding models so that they are actually blocks. Mainly for single player use.

If ANYONE has an answer to that I'd love to know. I don't wanna go dabbling around my resource packs without a chance at prior knowledge. Thank you in advance! ^-^

Well first of all what version are you on? I recall that some textures for 1.9 we're messed up, and I have no clue if 1.10 supports it at all. It also may depend on the data value of the item. Im not sure how wynncraft assigns textures to certain items, but it could be affected by several values.

Well, I'm using 1.9 on my computer at the moment, however there's no texture messed up. My thing is that the blocks for the singleplayer world are weapons when you hold them, and all I wanted to do was move those textures to my faithful texture pack while keeping the animations. (Like fire or swirlies)

This is purely recreational singleplayer, no issues with the in-game whatsoever

    (Didn't reply first time, sorry)

1.9 and 1.10 r same. cept for new bloks. and stuff.
as for 1.9, blocks for me such as bookshelves and enchanting tables go bai bai bcuz the new json format fks everything up. well to delete the block weapons, just like.. rename the model file found in models to whatever weapon u wot. u'd have the find the block first. hm. seems like that didn't answer the question.the fire and swirlies are found in textures, then 'wynn.' i know dis bcuz i delved into the wynnpack bfore. the entire models for almost everything is found in the wynn folder.

Yeah, I've looked into it as well. Apparently I haven't in a while cause it's a different setup than normal texture packs. (What I mean is ordered differently) I guess I'll just have to mess around a bit with copies. Just wanted to see if anyone could help me out first.
