How Is Powder Specials Determined?

Hia there! As many of you know, powders are in the game. One cool feature of powders is specials. When you put two of an IV, V or VI powder on armor or weapon, it either gets a passive or a a charged special correspondingly. The type of powder you put on determines what special it has. For example, if you used two IV Fire powders they would give you Courage, on a weapon that is. What I am wondering is, what happens if you put two different high tier powders on it. Let's say you add a Tier V Water and a Tier V Fire powder to a bow. Would you get curse, courage, nothing, or something random? Thanks! (Sorry if this question is addressed somewhere else, or if it's a stupid question in general, but I just got back from a long break and am a little confused lol).

 

You just get some water and fire damage

 

The powder specials will only work if you put 2 of the same tier 4-6 powder on an item. So if you put 2 different tier 4-6 powders on a weapon then you'll get no specials.

 

It's also worth noting you can only have one special on an item.

You can only get 1 special, thus the powders that were applied first will get a special
