Ihra glides gently onto Rineth's back, landing silently.
"Geez, his back is hot! I guess he has been laying out in the sun all day. Also, his life force is strong, so he hasn't been bothered out here." She says telepathically.

 

"Should we do something to cool him off?" I ask in Ihra's mind.

 

"That might wake him up. It'd be something definitely to consider before the others got on."

 

"Yeah, Katie would hate it." I say, "Well, what now?"

 

"Well, I haven't made any progress towards freeing Xlentia in a while. Maybe we could look around for something that'd help get us back on track?"

 

"Weren't we going to ask Abigail to look for that secret base?" I ask.

 

"Ugh... Right. There has to be a more mature fire guardian you know; she scares me. I... um... considered asking you to tell her to leave."

 

"What? She's not that scary. Beneath her hard shell is a warm heart; we should go see her so we can clear up this nasty 'scaring' business." I suggest.

Helianthus checks the progress of the labirynth.

 

"Myria already chewed her out. And then she got high."

It's almost done. The only thing left is the bait.

 

"What? Abigail might be bad, but she does not do drugs. She just lights up incense or something and chills out." I say.

 

"So... there really wasn't anything bad in the incense? She seemed... bizzare. Scared me even more."

 

"I doubt it. Anyway, the only other fire guardian that could search for the secret base would be Ignia, and she's working." I say.

 

"Wait, who? Did you just call in more guardians to help us or something?"

 

"Yeah, along with Aqui, Victus, Mortimer, Aeris and Tirra." I say.

 

"What? I don't... wait, Tirra sounds familiar. I think she came to me crying earlier."

 

"Really? Why was she crying?" I ask.

 

"Apparently she started to doubt you were the perfect ruler, but I told her it was okay and you were good, even though you... um... kinda put out the fire of hope for the future of our kind."

 

"What do you mean? I'm trying to help you." I ask.

 

"I know, but I'm kinda like a candle. They had a lot more faith in mother than they did me."
