Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yeah, thank you. Where is the place he might be?"

 

"I believe he's in the royal entertainment room." The gardener says.

 

"How would I get there?" Ihra asks, starting to weave a bone construct in the hall.

 

"I believe it's in the upper floors of the palace, but you could always take an elevator." The gardener says, looking at the bone construct fearfully.

 

"There's an elevator?" Ihra asks, letting the construct fall apart.

 

"Yes, there are numerous elevators used to travel around the palace due to how big it is. There should be one along the hall." The gardener says.

 

The bones vanish.
"Will guards know how to get there?"

 

"They should; they're made to memorise the dial positions should the king ever be in trouble." The gardener says.

 

"Okay, thanks!"
Ihra approaches the nearest guard.
"Excuse me, could you help me find Aj?"

 

"The king? Why do you wish to see him?" The guard asks.

 

"Because he's a wreck and I'm ready to forgive him, partially. He killed my mother in front of my own eyes; and in alternate timelines, me. I didn't trust him for a day or so, but... I can't stand seeing him like this."

 

"Hm...well, alright." The guard says, taking Ihra to an elevator.

 

Ihra follows.
"I hope he's not mad at me now..."

 

"He's been in the entertainment room for quite some time. He made some odd requests for food before he entered though." The guard says, turning the dials on the elevator.

 

"Turns out he's beating himself up over what he did. I guess I have to forgive him, or I'll die anyways... I feel like I'm being taken advantage of, but I don't have a choice, lest my enemy becomes yours."

 

The guard just turns the dials, and Ihra soon finds herself outside a pair of doors with the sounds of video games behind them.

 

Ihra knocks.

 

The sounds pause, and eventually I open the door slightly.

"Oh...hey Ihra..." I say, opening the door. The sofa inside the room seems to have a controller left on it, and empty tubs of ice cream and bottles of carbonated drink litter the floor around it.

 

You open the door to visions of the alternate timelines where you killed Ihra before Vei.

"I can't completely forgive you because of those, but I'm sorry. I was being selfish."

 

I look quite crestfallen.

"A-Apology accepted." I say sadly, heading back into the room and grabbing the controller, leaving the door open for Ihra.
