"Then you're not looking hard enough. He killed both of us in dozens..."

 

"I'm looking at the timelines where Aj is your friend," Myria says, "Aj has a lot of care for you, don't forget that."

 

"If he has the heart to kill me... No."

 

"He doesn't, not here. My daughter may be his love interest, but I can assure you he wouldn't ever think of bringing harm to you, the same he wouldn't think of bringing harm to Artemis." Myria says.

 

"You're looking down altered timelines. He cut me before, and I was forced to see every way he killed mother in fights. I get we're a group, but..."
Ihra falls silent, hugging Myria.

 

Myria gently hugs Ihra, her embrace calming.

"Let me show you something." Myria says, holding up a white crystal.

 

Ihra looks at it, still hugging Myria.
"W-what?"

 

Myria hands Ihra the crystal.

"Put it to your head." Myria says.

 

Ihra feebly does as told.

 

Ihra's put into a vision, but it feels as if she's been teleported in time.

"I-I just don't know how she still sticks around with me. I've done so many terrible things to her, I even killed her mother...I-I can't escape who I am. I'm a genocidal demon, and I don't deserve a healer like her." I say, tears running down my face.

"But you care for her, do you not?" Myria asks.

"Yes, of course I do. It's hardly making it up for everything I've done to her, I don't think I'll ever be able to, but I've been trying to help her. I wish I could just tell her I'm sorry for everything I've done, and how I've screwed up in so many ways, but...I just can't. A part of me knows she'll never be able to accept I'm sorry...and...I just..." I trail off as Myria hugs me.

"A part of me wishes I never met her, I'm sure her life would be so much better had I not screwed it up." I say.

And the vision ends.

 

Ihra remains quiet, letting the crystal fall on the ground.
"Maybe mother was right, I never should've trusted him." Ihra utters.

 

"The choice is yours." Myria says.

 

"Where'd he go? I can't..." Ihra's sentence is cut off with tears.

 

"He'd rather not disturb your presence." Myria says, offering Ihra a cup of nature elixir.

 

"I wanna talk to him." Ihra says, failing to collect herself.

 

"Very well." Myria says, gently putting a hand to her head.

A short while later, Artemis returns with me.

 

"A-aj? I... I didn't know you meant it... I'm sorry for doubting you..."

 

I just walk over to Ihra and hug her, tears starting to run down my face.

 

Ihra hugs you back, also crying.
"I... Forgot what I was gonna say..."

 

"I'm so sorry Ihra. If there's anything at all you want, I shall give it to you." I say, tears streaming down my face.
