Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"What?" I ask, confused.

 

"You held me hostage... I don't know if I'm your friend or bargaining chip!"

I look around, checking out what's happening.

 

Ihra's hugging Aj, crying.

 

"Hm."
I say out loud, looking at the scene.

 

"When did I ever hold you hostage? Ihra, you're one of the greatest friends I've ever met, and I don't ever want to jeopardise our friendship. How about this, I'll do anything you want me to no matter how much power it may cost." I say, smiling.

 

"When you killed mother, you used me to get her to stand down. Multiple times."
Ihra hugs you tighter.
"I wanna just be friends, really... but I can't... c-can't ignore all that..."

 

I let go of Ihra.

"I'm sorry." I say, turning away and starting to walk off; head held low.

 

She just sits down, silent.

 

I just walk off into the city, before Artemis chases after me.

Myria sits down beside Ihra, waiting patiently whilst making her presence known.

 

Ihra hugs Myria, crying.
"I don't know anymore..."

 

Myria hugs Ihra soothingly.

"What is the problem you are facing, Ihra?" Myria asks in a silken, calming voice.

 

"I don't know if I can trust Aj anymore... he killed mother and it easily could've been me..." She utters.

 

"He tells the truth when he says it was on accident. I can sense deep down he wishes to protect you, rather than harm you. As a Shadow, however, these things come across differently." Myria says calmingly.

 

"Clearly, but he used me as a tool to get his way with mother..."

 

"Did he? Or was he simply hoping you'd protect him from her?" Myria asks.

 

"His blade was pressed against my neck..."

 

"You were his protection, for he knew your mother wouldn't do anything to harm him. He was scared." Myria says.

 

"I don't want to be friends with someone who does that to protect himself. I'm not a shield..."

 

"But he was never going to harm you, the blade was blunted. I see no timeline in which you are killed in that event." Myria says, her eyes glowing slightly.
