Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I laugh, closing my journal.
"It would look bad if a king happrned to commit murder." I say, summoning a red gem and giving it to the child.

"A Nader Gem. It's said that when you die, your soul gets put in this gem, and the next person who wears it will have their soul replaced by yours." I explain.

"Dont worry, it's empty."

 

"Come on!" Ihra says, heading back.


"Oh? We are on the same side, yet you slander me like I was nothing to her or Vei. Now, if you'd care to try that again, why do your people need protecting from mine if you're friends with one?"

"So, it's like n'nother life?" The child asks, eyeing the crystal in curiosity.

 

I nod.

 

Aqui follows, curious.


"Different communities breed different people. I can personally say that not all humans are exactly the same; some work to kill others while others try to help. Just because you're the same species as a friend, doesn't mean you're the same. You tried to kill a friend of mine, while Ihra has never tried to bring harm to any of us." I say, staring Lidnis down.

 

Ihra leads Aqui back to Katie.


"Why would I defend that girl if I wanted to kill her? Why would I have kept that who you call your girlfriend from bleeding out? Be wary not to make rash decisions." Lidnis says, unperturbed as she meets your gaze.

 

"Who's this?" Aqui asks as she gets nearer to Katie.


"In a realm of genocidal demons, one needs to be able to make quick decisions to save the most." I say.

 

"Katie!" Ihra says happily.


"Correct. However, though you may not like it, I wanted to ask you something. Your actions are your responsibility, no?"

"So, what exactly happened when you were taken to the Shadow Realm for exploding that generator?"
I ask Stephanie, curious.

 

"I was punished for exploding the generator...I don't know why I really exploded it. I just felt so...angry." Stephanie says.

 

I look like I'm going to press on, then I think of something else.
"I didn't scare you that much, did I?"
I ask, concerned.

 

"What do you mean?" Stephanie asks.

 

"When I scared you, I didn't get you on edge too much, did I?"

 

"I don't think so. I don't even remember you scaring me." Stephanie says, confused.

 

"In all honesty, I've yet to find this out. All I know is that your soul is somehow transferred into it when you die. Unless of course, your soul is destroyed before that, or you're deleted from the timeline."

 

"Tha'ss weird. Thanks, though, mister!"

 

I nod, and get back to taking down notes on the encounter with the child.
