Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I don't get why you don't stay here and just wait until this blows over." Shadow Stephanie asks.

"We can't because Artemis has some ties with fate or something." Abigail says.

"Yeah, and Sgavrinn wouldn't be happy!" Artemis says, hugging Sgavrinn.

 

Sgavrinn hums happily, then nuzzles Shadow Stephanie gently.

 

"'ello Gav'ner." Shadow Stephanie says happily, petting Sgavrinn.

 

He hums before going back to Artemis' side.

 

Artemis hops onto Sgavrinn's back, petting him as she does so.

 

"Where should we go now?" He asks happily, bouncing back and forth a bit.

 

"I'm not sure; maybe we could try and find Aj?" Artemis asks.

 

"Throne room, then?" He asks, turning back down the hall the way he came.

 

"Probably." Artemis says happily.

The group disperses.

 

Sgavrinn darts off back to the throne room.

 

"It's shit, apparently."
I respond.

 

I don't appear to be in the throne room, oddly.

 

"All sorts of places, different realms and the like." I reply, suddenly taking an interest to the child.
"And yes, I have seen quite a lot of castles in my travels."

 

"Clearly."

Sgavrinn looks confused, then continues running around the palace.

"Woah! Did'ya conquer enny'f them?" The child asks, enthused.

 

"Ever more curious about what's happening to her."
I say, dejected.

 

After running around for a while, Sgavrinn eventually finds me in one of the more obscure rooms of the palace playing video games on a large screen.

"Oh, hey Artemis." I say, smiling.

 

"If it's bad, Aj said he'd be back soon. In theory. We'll find out then, won't we?"

Sgavrinn nuzzles you towards the door, humming happily.

 

"'In theory' to both parts. By now, there's a good to fair chance she'll be gone again as soon as we see her."

 

"Alright, I'll take you back." I say, heading towards the door whilst putting a hand to my head.

I head out of the room and head through the various hallways, aiming for the throne room.

 

"Fair point. Maybe if we stick close, we'll find out where they're bringing her?"

Sgavrinn ends up knocking you up onto his back as he runs back to the throne room at a full sprint, tongue hanging out like a dog after he arrives.
