Quest Breaking Glitch

So today I was doing the good old level 48 quest Frostbitten and I came across a quest breaking glitch that made me lose my quest item.

I had traded the ice shards for the lava bucket and had gone to kill the slime. Once I had the lava bucket and the 8 lava blobs I went over to the Quest Npc Alein and started the dialogue.


Halfway through the conversation my game crashed. Now when I speak to Alein he asks for the lava bucket which I cannot obtain because he took it from me before the crash.

So I have no quest item and no way to compete the quest.


NOTE: I AM AWARE OF THE NO REFUND POLICY.

But the thing is mods, these are quest items, and this isn't any "hohohohoh I dropped my weapon into a hopper xit" this is an actual bug that can effect other people, and make them unable to do the quest.

PS: Its ok if I don't get my quest item but I'm trying to help the community because this bug can easily happen.
