Mage/Dark Wizard Help Fire/water Regen

This is the theoretical build.

Seipodon(2 Mana Regen, minimal -Fire Damage)
Greaves of the Veneer(750+ Health, Minimal -Water Damage, 9+ Defense)

Squid Anklet(2 Mana Regen)
Royal Blazing Amulet

Antipode w/2 Water Powder(2 Mana Steal, minimal -Water Damage, 15%+ Spell Damage)
Bonder w/2 Fire and Earth Powder(4+ Mana Regen, 250+ Health Regen)


I have swapped the Seipodon out in exchange for a good Greaves of the Veneer, as the final skill spread will be 80 intel, 80 defense, 40 strength(ignoring modifiers). This will provide more health and regeneration, as well as helping to mitigate some of the thunder defense. Opinions?

 

I'm going to use this now b/c a mod made it. XD

Use Concentration if you want it only for mana regen.

 

I would use Chef Hamsey's Apron since Hetusol has a few drawbacks. The apron gives less hp regen however. (You have the heal spell so it shouldn't make too much of a difference)

 

I think it's pretty neat; however, the thunder defense is going to be your doom.

 

I am looking for both mana and health regen, and lots of health, which Coral Ring hits every checkmark on.

Hamsey's Apron also gives less health than Hetusol, mind...and in a pinch, high Health Regen will aid my Heal. Note how I wanted the raw regen.

This is one of the reasons I was considering using Greaves of the Veneer rather than Seipodon. 7 Mana Regen is enough for my purposes, and considering Bonder is part of the lineup...The Greaves would help mitigate the thunder defense, if only slightly, and give more health than Seipodon.

 

Health regen doesn't activate while in combat and even the highest amount of health will evaporate with bad elemental defenses, but if you really want the hp regen to go along with heal then go for it.

 

I've been trying to use a fire/water mage since Gavel came out, it's not easy to get good equipment for it. Also, why are you trying to make a health regen build for a mage? There's pretty much no reason to try to use regen items instead of just using heal. Do health regen IDs boost heal's effect?

 

They are helpful in a pinch, as when you are on low health, Heal is less effective, and spamming it leaves you vulnerable with little mana.

 

I don't think investing strength for one item is a good idea, and even with veneer greaves, the thunder defense will be bad.

An alternative off of the top of my head would be Kelight's shield, even if it's very low-levelled.

 

Mind that I am also using Gaea-Hewn Boots, and plan to utilize earth powders on Bonder.

 

If you aren't using melee attacks, you could use this instead of squid anklet.
I'm fairly certain this is in the game; I saw a thread somewhere about someone selling one.

 

Unfortunately I always sprinkle in melee attacks; I never rely on just one or just the other. It's mostly the mana steal that kills it.
