Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Sorry." Mortimer says, cutting the drain from Ihra. The saplings grow a lot slower.

Aeris blushes, "U-Uhm...angels don't exist." She says timidly.


Tirra walks up the wall onto the ceiling, picking up the bodies of the adult and child draconian and putting them together, before putting the dead flowers bunched up over their bodies and cleaning the vase up.

"May Gaia have mercy on your souls." Tirra says, before rooting herself into the ceiling and shifting her telekinetic focus onto the metal scrap, lifting the pieces out of the house.

 

Helianthus nods in agreement. "Probably an extra person or two as well to help in the fighting and setting up."

"Might as well pay the dead their dues." I say, lighting the corpse on fire and summoning a small container.

 

"You seem enthusiastic about it, still."

 

"Also, why are you doing this in the park?"

"Then what are you? You look like an angel."

There's a decent amount of scrap; probably just enough to rebuild the part.

"Sure. Two more for your trap, and supplies. It'll be ready momentarily."

The robe and horns don't burn, but the smoke fills the area and lingers.

 

Helianthus nods and waits.

I move all the ashes of the corpse and the smoke into the container. Once everything is in, I seal off the container and desummon it.

 

"It's a new adventure in a new place!" Aqui says happily.

"To make sure the soil here is capable of being saved. No point trying to grow crops in dead soil." Mortimer says.

"An air guardian...we often get confused for angels." Aeris says, spreading her wings.

Tirra telekinetically lifts all the scrap out of the house and takes it back to the power plant.

 

Two draconians approach, holding the supplies.
"Be quick."

Well, that's one cremated draconian, sans horns and bloodied robe.

"Well... Is it?"

"Do you have a name?" Ihra asks, curious.

You have a scrap heap the size of... well, a draconian's head.

 

"It seems to be. Apparently there's some farms, so we can check those too." Mortimer says.

"A-Aeris." Aeris says nervously and quietly.

Tirra takes the scrap back to the power plant.

"Right, we'll need to make this fit this design." Tirra says, forming the second piece out of rock before holding it between two rock hands. Ignia gets to work on melting down the scrap metal.

 

"Also, we need a portal to the Darklands."

I take the horns, place a rune on them, and desummon them. I then look around for the nearest person and ask them about the upside down houses.

 

"Well, I'm going to keep growing flowers here." Ihra says happily.

Ihra offers Aeris a handshake.
"I don't bite. I'm Ihra. Nice to meet you!"

After a few minutes, the pair has a second part that fits. Maybe it'll work now...?

"Turn around." The healer groans.

There's nobody out on the streets sans guardians, but city hall has draconians who likely know the ins-and-outs of the city.

 

Aeris weakly takes it, "N-Nice to meet you too." Aeris says, trying to smile.

"Where were those farms, Aeris?" Mortimer asks.

"O-Oh. Right. Bye, Ihra. M-Maybe we'll see each other again." Aeris says, before flying off. Victus, Mortimer and Aqui follow Aeris on foot to the lot of dirt.

Tirra and Ignia attach the pieces together, and Aeris summons a small storm cloud which provides the generator with electricity.

 

The plot has some nutrients in the soil, but not many.

The generator slowly starts to turn, but nobody's left to get it fully up and running.

 

Victus does the similar method of planting green acorns, while Aqui and Mortimer help them grow; the process slowly releasing nutrients into the soil.

Tirra and Ignia try to figure out how to work the generator.

 

There's turf that'll have to be removed before growing crops here...

It's next to impossible to figure out, but a few screams from outside suggest there may be other workers.

 

The party works on removing the turf, each member tacking a different part of the plot.

Tirra runs outside.

 

It doesn't take long to prepare the soul for farming.

Sure enough, two other workers showed up.

 

Victus begins placing varying seeds amongst the patches where the acorns were planted, while Aqui wets the soil.

"Oh, hey. My colleague and I fixed the generator." Tirra says.

 

"Wh-what the hell! A-a-re they all... dead...?" One worker stammers.

 

"Uh...we didn't kill them!" Tirra says awkwardly.

 

The workers just look at Tirra and Ignia nervously.
"Did... did you get rid of whoever did?"
