Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Hello!" Aqui says happily, walking up to Ihra while Victus checks the soil.

Ignia jumps in, and looks around the lava.

Aeris looks inside the power plant, studying the generator.

 

"Hi! You look like Katie!" Ihra says.
The soil seems... to be lacking nutrients.

There's old golems down deeper in the lava, random plumes pushing them around.

The generator is completely and utterly destroyed, machine parts strewn about about as widely as scales, flesh, horns, and robe.

 

"Whom?" Aqui asks, confused.

Victus takes a sample of the soil, before checking other patches.

Ignia checks the golems, curious.

Aeris tries to pick one of the machine parts up, but struggles and ends up tiring herself out. She then decides to fly up and see where the machine parts are headed relative to the machine, to see what caused the explosion.

 

"Katie!"

It's all practically void of nutrients.

They're all inactive, their purpose impossible to tell from their appearance.

Bits of a mage crystal seem to be part of the source.

 

Aqui just looks confused.

Victus puts a green acorn into the soil, which slowly releases nutrients into it; though very slowly.

Ignia looks for some way of starting them.

Aeris picks up some of the mage crystal pieces, unaffected by their electrifying nature, before leaving the power plant.

 

"Don't guardians talk to each other?" Ihra asks, ewually confused.

Ihra still seems to not notice.

The only thing she finds are weak points; there's a heart of sorts that will cause the golem to crumble if broken.

There are some larger shards outside.

 

"Well, yes, but I work at the Shadow Palace mainly. Besides, just because we're both guardians, doesn't mean we know each other!" Aqui says, laughing.

Victus plants the acorns equal distances from each other in the soil.

"Hey!" Ignia shouts at one of the golems.

Aeris heads back into the city, finding Tirra feeling the ground.

"There's a broken generator up there. You might want to check it out..." Aeris says.

"Oh, ok!" Tirra says with a smile, heading toward the power plant.

 

Helianthus goes through the portal, followed by the shorter one.

"Very well." I say, bowing and walking out, taking the orb of water with me.

 

"Oh... Okay! Nice to meet you!" Ihra says happily.

Iruk taps Victus' shoulder.
"Um... Hello?"

Nothing...

Tirra sees the same thing.

The tall one follows.

"Thank you for your offer, though, sir. It means a lot, truly."
The fourth walks back in.
"We have help and an apology. Get the deceased files reorganized."
"Huh?"
"You heard me. Fix them. Now."
"Y-yes, councilmaster."

 

"Nice to meet you too! I'm Aqui!" Aqui says happily, offering a handshake.

"Oh, hello. Are you one of the robots set up to patrol these gardens?" Victus asks.

"How do they do it...uh, I command you to wave!" Ignia says to the golem.

Tirra picks up some of the machine parts telekinetically, studying them.

Helianthus looks around for the healer once he gets through.

I walk out of the city hall and survey the surroundings.

 

Ihra accepts.
"Did I already tell you my name?" Ihra asks, happily confused.

"Huh? H-how did you tell? Wait... It's the wings..."

Nothing...

They're chunks of insanely dense metal that were broken apart by excessive magic force and gear-like notches spinning the wrong way.

They're right there.
"You're back. No blood. The hell did you do?"

There's remains of draconian and generator, a town square, a marketplace, and some odd upside-down buildings.

I notice the newcomers.
"Hello."
I say to them.

 

Aqui shakes her head, causing her hair to flail about.

"You're not giving off a life signal, yet are still alive." Victus says.

"WORK!" Ignia shouts.

Tirra tries her best to piece together the generator, both psychically and physically.

Aqui seems to be the closest guardian.

"Hiya!" She says happily, beaming.

 

"Ihra!" She says, smiling

"Ugh... Yes, I'm a robot. You going to scrap me for not being a bio or something?" He sighs.

If there was anyone else here, Ignia would look stupid.
...but the golems' unmoving faces is enough.

She can only manage to piece together what appears one of two pieces.

 

I smile.
"Why might you be here, now?"

 

"Hi, Ihra! I think we'll make good friends!" Aqui says happily.

"No, robots have their uses; even being used as soulbots for those who have died." Victus says.

"Dammit..." Ignia says, swimming towards what the golems were guarding.

Tirra looks around for the second piece.

"I was sent here with my friends to help the people in this city!" Aqui says happily.

 

"Are you coming with us too?" Ihra asks.

"At least you're not that biased." Iruk mutters.

There's just... golems, idle in the magma, unmoving.

It's... almost as if it was vaporized by the magic.

 

"By...?"
I inquisit.


Crystal suddenly seems interested, and looks with wide eyes.
Well, it looks like he's looking with wide eyes. He just generally has wide eyes anyways.

 

"I have to stay here to look after the people, sorry." Aqui says sadly.

"You were created to serve a purpose, I was created to serve a purpose. Our only difference is life." Victus says.

Ignia swims up to the surface to see what the lava is doing.

Tirra creates a faux-second piece with rocks, and puts it together.

"The king of Shadows!" Aqui says happily.

Aqui seems quite unnerved by Crystal.
