Build Merely A Village I Made Because I Was Bored

As the title suggests, I got bored and started building a village. I'm not the best builder, but constructive criticism is good (just don't be too mean ;-;)

The base of the tavern is too square. Try adding more rocks around the bottom to make it look more natural

I don't know what 's available to you, but it's in desperate need of terrain so it's not so flat
The dirt base on the blacksmith is a little odd, as it's full grass on the other side of the fence; maybe try adding more of a transition between the two areas by adding bits of grass and dirt on either side.
Don't be afraid to try more detailing with slabs and stairs on your buildings, it would really bring them to life
I'm not sure if you watch Grian, but he's proposed a few times to move the walls 1 block in from the frame to give depth; don't be afraid to try that one :D
The white glass is very stark on your palette, try a grey or brown to match it up :)
I'll leave with those few points as my critique, I don't want to rustle ya jimmies by saying any more. Hope it helps and isn't taken in vain. :) Keep it up!

 

it is not 10x better

here's my opinion. I don't like it. I loathe it really. These builds are in no way good. They are what i built when i first joined mc like 2 years or so ago. they are too simple, lack any detail of sort. They are just unappealing to look at, and could need a lot of love and revamps. I know in the title it said you were bored, but if youre gonna post something at least make it decent. I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, i want you to become a better builder, but you're not gonna get there if everyone only praises you for sub par work.

 

But the new stuff at the bottom still does make it look 10x better than without...

I'm not sure I'll make a lot of changes to 15 buildings, but I've made something with this feedback...

 

I gave feedback love, i told you that your builds are not appealing to look at and lack any sort of detail.

Well....first of all....lack of terrain and it greatly lacks of detail and depth. The frames don't seem to pop out and to me, the houses look very blocky. Your nit really separating the textures (separating them by adding a frame), its more like your bunching them together, even though touching textures for certain styles. It also lacks variety for the palette

I am no expert and I will try to not sound rude in any way:

Your houses have a good start in my opinion, my first thought when seeing the complete village was "aw, cute!" but when I looked at the houses separately (Didn't look at all of them, so many links ;u; ) I meh'd. They are a good, basic start, as I said before. However, they lack depth and detail. The new, revamped tavern looks cool though, with the stone-base.

This is a simple step to make your buildings look way better. And then it's just to start decorating the wall. Flower pots, slabs or stairs, to make the house look unique.
Don't be afraid to vary some with the palette selection! Oh and, fix the roofs. They're very plain. Use some slabs to make it look a bit rundown, or leaves acting as vines!

Keep building. With enough love, motivation and time put into your builds, I'm sure you'll become a better builder!
